Lviv Park Tagan, which is located in Crimea since 2012, is a very unique project even for Europe, not to mention the peninsula. For the first time, the idea of creating a safari park, in which one could observe the life of large predators in their natural habitat was carried out in two African countries - Kenya and Tanzania.
After one Russian entrepreneur (Oleg Zubkov) saw all this and inspired by this idea, he acquired several hectares of land in the Crimea nearby from the magnificent Tigaigan reservoir, whose name he later gave the park himself. Since it was the territory of an abandoned military base, it had to put in order for a long seven years. Thus, at the same time created an oasis for pets and a very rich infrastructure for visitors.
After the fleet itself was already created, some European, Russian and even African zoos kindly shared with "Taigan" with their animals. Thus, in the park, about sixty lions appeared at once, including very rare white lions, yaks, bison, giraffes, unusual Scottish cows and some other inhabitants. To date, approximately 83 species of various animals and birds are represented in the park. So the Safari Park "Tagger" became very unique not only for the Crimean Peninsula, but also for the whole of Europe.
Animals can be completely free to move on huge spaces of the park and feel completely relaxed, and visitors can quietly observe them without cells and without artificial restrictions, while remaining in absolute security. For this purpose, specially equipped bridges that pass over the Park territory were built in the park. In general, the total length of such bridges is almost a kilometer.
Before you go on a tour of Safari Park, you should understand that animals behave differently and their behavior can vary significantly depending on climate, time of day and season. For example, lions like all cats are night creatures and during the day in the park they are sometimes difficult to notice. In the heat they generally hide somewhere in the shade, where they are difficult to distinguish.
In this regard, the creators of the safari park strongly recommend to visit their guests not to some noon, but best for a day or two. Then you can watch the games and hunting of animals in daytime, morning and night time. To do this, on the territory of the park, a private hotel was opened, as well as cafes, restaurants, a conference room, attractions, the usual format of the zoo and a souvenir shop.
