One day, autumn, gloomy day, sitting in the office, received an invitation to a conference in Odessa. Joy did not come, and I immediately began to study guidebooks at historical sites of the Old Town.
The train arrived at the station nearly at 5 am, and I was still almost a whole hour before the first tram. I love to come to new places at dawn, there is no fuss, the city is sleeping.
First of all, I went to McDonalds, cheered up with strong coffee, the day promises to be rich and interesting! At such moments, when there is a free time to think, to think, watch the people, which at 5.30 in the morning, is in a hurry somewhere, you know how interesting to discover new cities for yourself.
With the first tram, I went to Arkady. This is Mecca of the Summer Odessa Resort, here are concentrated, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, various entertainment, the most beautiful and clean beaches. Now, in the early morning, I met people leading a healthy lifestyle, because it may be better than the morning jog along the sea. So I met the dawn on the pier, among the gulls and a calm clean sea.
Before lunch, there was a time to get enough time, and I successfully used this moment. This is not transmitted to swim in the last numbers of September, although in the Crimea is another common practice.
In the evening, I went on the guide to the ticket printed from the Internet, walk through the Odessa quarters. The architectural buildings of old houses fascinate, and old planes along the roads give them a special charm. Most of all at the beginning of the way I was struck by a cultural Arab center, made in the style of a mosque. He, of course, stands out straight on the background of other buildings, but it was only the beginning of my surprise and admirations.
All the rest of the time I was going and was afraid to skip something, at every step, with each new quarter, there were all new and new attractions. And here I am on the famous Deribasovskaya - in the heart of Odessa. This street is pedestrian, with a lot of restaurants and street cafes, it is here that the Propelle Yumorina is held, in which various teams and famous comedians take part.
If you are at Deribasovskaya be sure to visit the passage, then go to the opera theater, walk through the Primorsky Park and find yourself at the Potemkin staircase and the monument to Duke de Richelieu. It was still necessary to run away to the sea station, and take a look at the Potemkin staircase from the bottom up. The building is impressive with its size and subtlety architectural buildings.
I spent the next evening on the bus tour of historical sights, once again walked around the opera, this is one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe. It went through the Primorsky Boulevard, pay attention to what a beautiful and well-kept building of the mayor's office!
The morning of the third day I dedicated the sea. Since I lived in a hotel on Arkady, there was no more than 5 minutes to the sea. It is very nice to walk around the inappropriate embankment with a beautiful wicker furniture, drink a glass of wine and dissolve in the endless sea.
The train was serving in the evening, and I still had plans to visit everyone a favorite market Privoz (located next to the railway station). But his adjustments made suddenly began the shower, it was 3 hours to sit at the station, and only by five in the evening I got to the bazaar. Well, I didn't see a special color, everyone was going, trays closed, in some two more traded. Cooking home cheap fruit, I went home.
And now I would like to bother the result. Definitely Odessa is not enough for 3 days! Some excursions that were offered, I would only have enough for a week. I also regret that there was no time to the theater. I liked it that it was autumn, walking on the Odessa streets is very pleasant and not hot, while the sea was pretty warm, clean, and the beaches are absolutely empty. That is, it is an ideal option for holidays for the weekend, and swim in the sea and get acquainted with historical sights. One thing left is not clear, all housing is offered, is very far from the sea, sometimes it is necessary to go on a minibus. And the hotels in the summer season are very expensive, perhaps, this is the only minus. In general, Odessa is very interesting and colorful, it must be experienced.
