Hoyan ... hear wind fairy tales

Anonim

There is one magical town in Vietnam, where you can make a trip in time, wandering around the narrow streets and looking at the yellow walls covered with cracks and blue shadows, and where the gentle sea does not let out of their arms, and the warm wind is so chipping in the ear of the old fairy tales ... This is Hoian.

We arrived in this city from Nha Trang on a night bus. Once, seeing the photos of Hoian and learning that the old city center was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, I began to plan a trip here.

There are many hotels in the city: luxurious and small, hostels and guest houses are closer to the sea or closer to the center. It is impossible to say that Hoian is located on the seashore: from the historic quarter to the nearest beach on the bike we drove about 10 minutes. Many tourists rent bicycles and, without hurrying, reach the sea, watching the path for the life and life of local residents.

But in fact, in Hoyan, they are not allowed to get used to hot sand all day, listening to the noise of waves. This city makes it possible to feel in Vietnam of the 16th century, see the unique alloy of the cultures of vietnov and the us with Chinese and Japanese cultures, see the lights of pleasure boats floating through the canals and rivers. In Hoyan, a lot of tourists, but for some reason it does not interfere with enjoy the atmosphere of the city.

Entrance to the Old Quarter of the city is free, but to visit many attractions will have to buy a ticket. There is a ticket of 120,000 dong, the price includes a visit to 5 historical places. You can see the vintage houses, museums, temples, the Japanese bridge and the buildings of the sorrows of the peoples who inhabited Hoian.

But even when we ended all the tickets, we were not bored for a walk around the city. Here almost every building is an old and when we went to some kind of clothing store (and there are an incredible amount here) or in a coffee shop, our home owners were met, they told about the history of their family and showed how they live.

A few days in Hoyan flew unnoticed. But it was a feeling that we made a long journey, as if we were not in Nha Trang, it seemed that there was no streets overwhelmed with cars and bikes, but there are only quiet beaches with a shadow from palm trees, yellow walls covered with cracks, Magic lights on boats and romantic cafes for several tables in the courtyards of old houses.
