In August last year, I visited Spain for the first time. I went to relax at sea, get acquainted with famous sights and learn something new for yourself. In general, I am very pleased that you chose this resort, because it rests just great.
The big plus Alicante is that the city has an international airport and there can be reached by plane. Actually, so I did, because direct flight is performed from my hometown.
Immediately tell about the weather. Here she is just perfect in August. I tanned perfectly, because I spent a lot of time on the beach. For two weeks there was no precipitation, and the sun was constantly shining and only occasionally hidden for clouds. The weather just pleased the eye. The sea is warm and clean, it is also a big plus.
Beaches are very clean. Here you can lay your towel and lie on it, and you can take a sun bed with an umbrella and relax with maximum comfort for a small fee. On the beach there is everything you need. You can buy water or ice cream, snack or enjoy fresh fruit.
But not only on the beach I was lying around, but also walked around the city. There are many vintage houses here. There is even a whole quarter with historical buildings. You can walk for hours of quiet and cozy streets, where transport practically does not go. Such a feeling that you get during the Middle Ages.
I recommend to visit the main attractions of this resort. Most I liked the fortress of Santa Barbara. It is very interesting there. It was also cool to take a walk in the old port. It seems that only recently there were fishing vessels, but there were several centuries. The new port, by the way, also presents some interest for tourists. Here you can admire the big and colorful ships.
I lived in a small hotel with a gorgeous view of the sea. In the first coastline housing is not cheap, but believe me, it is worth it. Dinted in restaurants, which in the city a huge amount. I recommend not to look for a food establishment in the historic center, because prices are much more expensive than in the other parts of the city.
In general, the rest was perfectly, I think, more than once to visit this wonderful resort.
