Rested with a girlfriend a week on Rhodes at the end of September. In Greece, there were not the first time, so the waiting for the trip was high, and they were justified.
We drove a burning tour, so the hotel for us chose a tour. The usual treshka with the pool, clean. In general, there are no complaints. 10 minutes walk, pebble beach. The entrance to the water is sharp enough, but it is not necessary to go far to depth. Sun loungers on the beach are paid, from the cafes there was only one minutes twice from the beach. But we basically took fruit with you, so did not come there. There are not many people on the beach, mostly middle-aged people from Europe.
Our hotel was located near the town of Rhodes, so in the evening we went to walk there. On the bus minutes to go about 10 minutes, when there was no strong heat walking on foot. The city is very small, the most popular place is the market in the center. There are a lot of souvenir shops and cafes for tourists. The food is very tasty, a huge plate with meat, potatoes and salad accounted for about 8 euros. Be sure to try local wine, the store costs about 5 euros per bottle.
One of our favorite classes was to wander in the center of Rhodes. The streets of the old city are insanely beautiful, especially early in the morning, when there are no tourists.
Although the city is not big, walking there is very nice. Especially on the little streets, some are perfectly protected from the sun. There are many souvenir shops. The range and prices for souvenirs are approximately the same everywhere, so there was no problem with the choice.
The city has a beautiful embankment with which it is pleasant to watch the sunsets. Well, if you wish, you can leave on a small boat on an excursion to the nearest resort towns in Turkey.
From the city center you leave buses to other parts of the island. Tickets can be bought directly on the platform before shipment. Buses are new and clean, with air conditioning. Friend drivers will always be prompted which stop you need. We chose the nearby villages a couple of times and went to walk there. The island is hilmist, there are many beautiful bays and secluded beaches. At the end of September there were not so many tourists, so many places managed to enjoy alone.
Rhodes - an insanely beautiful island. And the Greeks are friendly and it seems that they are sincerely glad to tourists. The sea is warm and clean, the beaches are big. The food is delicious and inexpensive. In general, the impressions of rest on Rhodes are the most positive.
If a chance appears, I will definitely go back.
