In Cyprus, I rested only once. For the first time last summer got into this wonderful country. Flight with a short one, then a trip to the hotel. Impressions mass, there are positive, but there were several negative moments for spent ten days. In general, it rests well, there is something to remember and tell.
I was in the Turkish part of the city. Eastern flavor here is felt everywhere. Architecture very much reminds Turkey. In the center and on the embankment a lot of street traders. You can buy anything, from small things to huge items. I recommend bargaining, you can agree for a good discount. Prices are quite adequate, especially for souvenirs.
The hotel in which I lived was in the first coastline. Go to the beach for less than five minutes. Prices are adequate at housing, the conditions are good. In general, everything will be settled in large hotels, the locals also pass housing, but this is not massive.
Beaches in good condition. There are many people, but you can find free space without problems. The sea is clean and warm, the sand is small, the garbage is not. There are nearby all the necessary amenities. You can buy cold water, fruit or something delicious.
The city has plenty of interesting sights. The historic center of the city consists of vintage houses, churches, cathedrals, museums and monuments. Walking around the city is very interesting. Prices for excursions are rather big, but you still have to visit several museums. I liked it in archaeological. Also here is a very beautiful promenade, which is difficult to pass.
With a minus sign, I want to note public transport. It rarely walks, but the old buses are driving in which it is very hot. It annoyed most.
In general, if we talk about the resort of Nicosia, then this is a small copy of Turkey, only the standard of living here is slightly lower and looks all the poorer. Do I want to go here yet? It's hard to say, a good rest turned out, but not so good to return again. Although the architecture in the city is really interesting.
In August, there is excellent weather, hot and sunny, and there are practically no precipitation.
