Saki in the Crimea: therapeutic dirt in a salty lake + near the clear sea + wonderful quiet town

From the city of Saki in Crimea we traveled from St. Petersburg by car. This is my favorite way of travel. You do not depend on anyone, there are a lot of interesting things along the way, you stop when and where you want. I heard about the city of Saki and his famous healing mud in childhood, I always mixed up this name :) We went to Saki to treat the healing mud of the Saka Lake, to buy in the sea, and in general, go through the Crimea, admire the nature, to go to interesting places. Stopped in the village of coastal, which is five minutes from the city, in the guest house right on the seafront. The next day I went to Saki to buy Crimean fruits, test mud wraps on the lake.

The city was small, pleasant, with his flavor. And very clean and green. People on the streets in the afternoon a little (or is it for me after Peter it seemed so?), I often come across in wheelchairs, which is associated with the presence of here about a dozen sanatoriums for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and others. By the way, the city name is translated from the Turkic language - dirt . People were treated since since ancient times, and the first sanatorium appeared in the 20s of the 19th century.

Many grocery stores, pharmacies, two markets. We visited the central market - very close, some of the merchants are placed on the adjacent streets right on Earth. You can buy everything you need, the prices for food and vegetables are acceptable, all fresh. There is still a pioneer market, unfortunately, I can't share with impressions, I was not.

Of course, there are shopping centers, visited one - "Ksenia". You can gain good things on shops, but more cheaply shop through overestimated prices. Many souvenirs.

In the evenings, we walked in the resort park (takes several hectares), well-kept, green, good air. Specially selected for the Crimean climate are growing, unique trees and shrubs from different places in the world. There is an artificial hill covered with coniferous and deciduous shrubs, a pond, a Greek gazebo, an interesting flower bed design.

They wandered, considered plants. The hill grows unusual trees with a height of up to 20 m with very solid wood, from Georgia. I was surprised by the blooming ospance.

And very lately we went to the entertainment center "Sunny" - there is a casino and a habitant dance floor.

A day later we went to the Saki mud lake, made mud wraps. It is right in the city, on the shore of the sanatorium, but you can visit yourself. Water here is very, very salted, bottom of mineral mud. The lake is warm and petty, to the knee. If you lie on the water, you will swim on the surface. People on the shore are a little, almost all mesh mud and rest in the sun for about 20 minutes. They say no longer recommended. Mud formation in the lake is constantly.

The local factory "Gay" produces cosmetic products based on therapeutic dirt. I bought all myself and gifts to friends. Branded shops are scattered throughout the city. And also everywhere you can buy local mineral waters.

In general, the city has a calm measured rest. We liked.
