Going to Sukhum to rest with a friend in July 2016, we got acquainted with the many negative reviews on the Internet, when the plane tickets were already purchased to Adler, so we went with some caution. We started planning a trip back in January, reviewing about this Black Sea resort plot on television.
What can I say about Abkhazia and specifically about Sukhum? Never trust someone else's opinion whatever it is. Maybe somewhat unusual, because it is still a Caucasus and there is a special "highlight" of rest. After all, resting in Venice or in Morocco we do not require that it was like on the Cote d'Azur. Local flavor here met at every step, which was interesting to learn.
We acquired a ticket in advance via the Internet in one of the private guest houses located in eighty meters from the sea on the Embankment of Majdzhirov. The setting in the studio for two is quite suitable for the stated in the photo. The promised view of the sea from the room was also a jaw. Since we did not plan to be attached to breakfast time, lunch and dinner, chose a guest house without food and paid only accommodation. Despite some home furnishings, the staff was distinguished by particularly friendly and professionalism. We usually rest in large hotels and have not yet met such a rainbow relationship. I do not know how in other places, and in Sukhum we will dwell only in such private guest houses.
The same I can say about the attitude of the personnel in local cafes and restaurants we have seen during the rest is not enough. All very smiling and friendly. The food is simply delicious. Personally, we traveled all the portions, for a while forgetting about your figures. Caucasian cuisine dishes turned out to be much delicious and colorful than at home.
On the advice of guest house guest house, we visited the beach "Mokco", which were very pleased. The beach is unusual because it is directly in the water and in the sea small pebbles, and on the shore of bulk sand. Despite the height of the season, there were always free spaces here.
No one pushes anyone on the shore or in the sea. On the beach there are awnings, which can be hidden from the sun. Umbrellas and sun loungers are also available, there are showers and dignum. The coastal bar in abundance provides fashionable cocktails to the sound of music.
