She visited Caucasian mineral waters twice: in Zheleznovodsk in 2016 and in Pyatigorsk in 2018, today I want to write about memories that are more fresh. I think that Pyatigorsk is one of the best places if you need to improve health, relax from the bustle of the big city, will be filled with new impressions of nature and interesting places.
With my husband in the winter of 2017, we decided to go to the sanatorium in the summer in the summer, so the city was chosen in advance and Pyatigorsky Narzan sanatorium, located in a picturesque place near the Mount Cossack. The sanatorium was excellent, but I want to write, where and how we spent time out of it.
At the entrance to the city, you will see the mountains surrounding it: Mashuk, Beshtau, Yeta, bald and Ripper, exactly five. Wonderful sight. These are special mountains - failed volcanoes. A hot magma only screamed the surface, but did not break out.
In the summer, Pyatigorsk is all in colors, a lot walked around the city, photographed vintage buildings, alleys, parks. Especially I recommend to visit the flower garden. We traveled to him on the tram in the central city boulevard, he was laid before the revolution. Along the chestnuts planted. Previously, it was ul. Tsarist, now - Kirov's pr-kt.
The flower garden is a park in which you can see the openwork Lermontov gallery, created by the hands of a man's grotto Diana, a red brick path. The entrance to the park is designated peculiar - this is a carved gate and a Gukasov coffee house, one of the most beautiful ancient buildings.
Each tourist should make climbing Mashuk, on the slopes of which is Pyatigorsk. Upstairs you will see an eagle holding snake in claws (Snake - Diseases, Eagle - Caucasian Mountains). In clear weather from the top of the Mashuk, you can see the snow-covered elbrus. There is a cable car, on it tired tourists descend to the city.
Many Lermontov seats: the lake of the failure (there were heroes of the story "Princess Mary"), Lermontov House Museum (here Lermontov lived in recent months in front of a duel), the place of duel with a monument, the grotto Lermontov (he went here alone). We visited all these places, made a bunch of photos, there is something to remember or show friends.
Next we visited the Provas town. This is ancient summer cottage built around the lake of the failure. I forgot to say that the failure is a subterranean cave connected by a man-made tunnel with an underground hydrogen sulfide lake. And in the dachas now the sanatorium.
I do not specifically tell about all places that we visited here, I just want to just interest travel lovers.
The kitchen here is diverse, represented by diverse restaurants and cafes, in the summer necessarily with the tables in the air. Try the local food and desserts. We liked. There is a delivery of any meal to the house.
When you get tired of studying Pyatigorsk himself, you can go on excursions that are offered in a set. We, for example, went to the Karachay-Circassian republic, to Dombai.
I believe that staying in Pyatigorsk (24 days) filled us with positive energy, improved mood and sleep, mineral water normalized the nervous system and health as a whole. Thanks to long walking, I dropped 6 kg, and my husband is 2 kg.
