Many say that Bulgaria is a Soviet holiday on the Black Sea. I can't agree with this. I just fell in love with such a cozy, European Sozopol with its narrow cobbled streets. In Sozopol, many historical monuments, which should be visited, beautiful temples - Church of Saints Kirill and Methodius, Temple of the Virgin Mary XV century, Church of Saint Zosima, where there is a grave plate V in .. And not so long ago, the old Amphitheater Appolonia was discovered in the city Century, it was completely renovated, and this is really a grand constructure!
We traveled at the beginning of the tourist season in the first days of June, and roses were blooming everywhere! The sea was cool, few people were bothering, but since we came to the sea, it means to go to the sea. Therefore, the water temperature in 20 with us did not scare.
Sozopol is a very calm town with snow-white kilometer beaches. There are two of them in the city - Central and South. One of them must be descended by a fairly steep staircase. Yes, they are not so wide, as in the sunshine, but very comfortable and cozy. Here are quite well-wealthy tourists, Germans and Italians.
Sozopol is not a youth resort, here in the evening quietly and calmly. But in the new part of the city, we still found a couple of good establishments - the night club "Vision", La Mouche Beach Bar, "Cult", "Muscat" and "Aqua Club".
It was nice to walk on local small cafes and taverns, there is a national food and drink Bulgarian wine. I really liked the traditional shopping salad with cheese. The best place where we became frequent guests was the cafe "Diamanti". A small cafe with European cuisine. Everything is very tasty, atmospheric, and if you sit at the table on the street, you can admire the wonderful blue sea. And we traveled with delicious seafood at the WHITE Dolphin restaurant.
What is the plus of recreation in Sozopol at the beginning of the season? It is very beautiful and soulful here, sunsets over the sea are amazing, and pink bushes are striking with their variety of all colors of the rainbow. And this is the time of the seasons of cherry, so it will still be possible to enjoy these berries.
