It all started with the fact that my friends called me and offered to meet the New Year in the Carpathians. I didn't have to persuade me for a long time, since I was not once in the mountains, but it so happened that only in the spring - summer period.

Our budget did not allow us to rent a room in a hotel, so we decided to rent a house from one of the locals and did not regret it. The house was made entirely of wood and was soaked with the smell of needles. In the house - warm and cozy, from the windows there was a chic view of the coniferous forest and the mountains. The price of accommodation included a three-time nutrition and a banquet for New Year's Eve.
We did not have time to settle and unpack the suitcases - as friends immediately took me skiing (despite that I never stood in my life). The huge advantage of the local recreation is that practically at any corner you can rent equipment, flesh to ski mittens. We rented our equipment from our house.
The line was big to the lifts, since we went to rest right in front of the new year and tourists were a lot. But for a fee, it was possible to buy a VIP pass and in the queue do not stand (it stood about $ 75). Another way to rise to the tracks without a queue was a snowmobile rise ($ 75). Tras here 3 types: for advanced, for beginner and medium height. If you, like me, a newcomer, and never rode either on the skiing on a snowboard - then at first each of the tracks you can use the services of a coach (about $ 25 per hour), or to ride sleds that can also be rented here.
Near the descent from each of the tracks are kodits, in which you can buy all sorts of tasty and warming drinks (prices from $ 3).
In New Year's Eve, we decided to diversify our rest and rented a bathhouse ($ 30 per hour). Brooms, sheets and caps were included in the price. Well happily in the bath - it was possible to jump into a huge metal boiler with hot water, which stood on firewood. This is such a local jacuzzi.
