Rest in the interesting city of Hut Yai, the largest transport habe southern Thailand

After examining Bangkok and the neighborhood, I decided to move in the southern direction and inspect the city of South Thailand, the city less known to our person. As the starting point chose the city of Hut Yai. From him to Bangkok exactly 1000 kilometers. Already looking at the card, I suggested that it has an important transport value. From Hat Yaya, you can go international train to Malaysia and at local Thai trains to the extreme south of the country - in Yalu and Sungai, and also visit the three interesting cities near Satun, Phatthalung and Songhala. The most interesting, as later it turned out, the last one.

In Hut Yai, I arrived from Bangkok on a comfortable night bus, although you can get cheaper and cheaper - in the train (3 class wagon - 450 rubles) and fly by Lookes like Air Asia or NOK.

For overnight, I had two places recommended by friends: Guesthouse Cathay and one city office, where the traveler can fit on the night for free. I didn't like any of the options, for example, a guesthouse turned out to be gloomy, noisy and when I inspect the room, I had suspicions on the bedbugs, so I began to look for the night by the present ones using the city map. I went to the north to the TOEI river and near the monastery (Wat Paknam) found a guesthouse better, where a good room with a toilet and shower is offered for 400 rubles.

Tasty and satisfying to eat in Hat Ya is not a problem, catering establishment with Thai cuisine on every corner, but if you want something original, you can go to the German restaurant Gap Garten. Delicious German cuisine, but prices are higher than in Thai establishments.

There is no place to swim in the city, but it is possible to get to the beach in the village of Songhala in 30 minutes by bus, which at certain hours can be scored by 100% local students. In addition to the beach there is a lot of interesting things, it is worth spending a day for a walk: museum, palace, cable car, a slide with monkeys, monasteries, sculptures on the embankment. I liked the cat with the mouse on the tail.

In Hat Ya, you can walk in the markets, hypermarkets, monasteries, ride on the cable car, visit the Ice Palace unique to Thailand, observatory and a waterfall 25 kilometers from the city.

I lived there for several days and regret that I had to leave this hospitable city, because within the afternoon trip you could visit a few more places.
