In one of our family travels to Nizhny Novgorod, we finally visited the very elegant house of the city, in the Museum "Manor of the Much". It is located very convenient, on the Uppervolzhsky embankment next to Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. Once here lived the family of the richest Nizhny Novgorod merchant Muchtvishnikov. Even with its appearance, this building is amazing, he finished his once famous artist Mikhail Mikeshin, who turned a nice house in the palace estate.
His facade is richly decorated with Atlants, Caryatids, Angels. Inside the museum is no less spike when you enter there through the front entrance, you get to the foot of a huge marble staircase, and the ceilings and walls around are decorated with stucco and painting.
To the left of it are cash desk, changing room, toilets, and the door on the right side leads to the main expositions. Ticket costs for 1 and 2 floors range from 100 to 370 rubles, it depends on the exhibitions visited, and what category of visitors treat. Students, schoolchildren and pensioners have benefits here, and foreigners pay at the maximum tariff. Preschoolers are at all for free. In the halls, it is impossible to talk loudly, it is necessary to grow rapidly, and it is forbidden to photograph almost everywhere, for a certain fee you can do it only in the lilac and ballrooms. But to see in the "manor of the gun" there is something. High races richly decorated with stucco. The lilac room is decorated in the appropriate range, in the center it is an unusual round table and beautiful carved chairs.
In the spacious ballroom there is a mirror of 18 meters high. Many in the museum of household items of the 19th century, dishes, documents, economic trifles, antique furniture, children's toys, books. However, it seems quite inappropriate in such interiors the exhibition about the Great Patriotic War, even interesting to look at the objects and weapons of this era, but her presence is not very clear. Excursion on the estate of the gunsman is interesting to representatives of different ages. The only thing that is busy here is the excessive rigor of the caretaker, try not to hurt anything, the more do not touch, otherwise they will report on the full program, cameras, where it is forbidden to take pictures, it is better to hide at all so as not to unwind the service personnel. But even despite this, I really liked it here, I advise everyone to visit the most beautiful house of Nizhny Novgorod.
