Skadar Lake can be bolded to call the heart of Montenegro. That is why this place is so attracted to tourists from all over the world. A thousand years ago, Slavs were settled here, which are considered to be the ancestors of Montenegrin. Not far from the lake there are churches and Orthodox monasteries. The architecture preserved until today's days is a real rare.
A walk by quiet water takes place on a small fishing boat. Each tourist can swim in the lake and sunbathe a little. Then everyone sit on the terrace of a fishing house and dinner. The main dish is fresh fish prepared by ancient recipe.
You can also visit the vineyards that are near the Skandsk Lake. It is here that the red wines of the rocan are created, which are the real pride of the Montenegrin.
During the excursion itself, the guide tells about the history of the Skadar Lake and as in the 13th century he was occupied by Turks.

The ticket price includes a licensed guide, lunch, a welcome drink and transfer. For a ticket to the National Park "Skadar Lake" you need to pay 4 euros.
What to take with you
If you plan to sunbathe and swim, then you need to take a swimsuit, a towel, a cream from a tan and an umbrella.
Advantages excursion: Reserve, amazing landscapes, many species of birds and fish, a large territory, tasty snacks and drinks, warm water, the possibility of renting a boat.
Disadvantages of excursion:
- in the lake floats a lot of snakes;
- prices in some restaurants are really overestimated;
- Complex road;
- At the bottom of the lake a lot of algae.
