Honeymoon on Paros Island

Anonim

Paros is another typical island of Greece with white-blue houses. Many people told me that it was the island of romantics and beach relax lovers. Therefore, I chose Paros for a romantic trip with my husband.

We planned a trip to August, because during this period the island does not present unpleasant surprises. The weather was not very hot and fortunately the rains did not catch us.

Almost all the time we lay on the beach. Golden Beach is considered the most popular, because it is just perfect for swimming and family holidays. In the windy days the beach attracts surf lovers. However, I liked the paraspire more, because it approaches lovers of a relaxing holiday.

Then we began to learn the active life of Paros. Night parties, windsurfing and diving are often organized in the capital. We also visited the Water Park and Tennis Court. I would advise you to rest on Paros to young families with children. Here the child is easier to learn to swim and ride a horse.

Not everyone wants to listen to stories about the history of the island during the rest, however, it is worth paying at least one day. The first on our list was the Logovard Monastery, built in the XVII century. Externally, the temple is painted white, and in the middle it strikes valuable icons and frescoes. Unfortunately, only men are allowed to enter the monastery, but my husband shared his impressions with me. Also in the logoward there is a huge library with ancient manuscripts and books.

Most I liked the walk in the Venetian fortress.

It was built in the XVEK and used only to reflect attacks. Over the years, part of the construction sank, but against the background of the blue sea, the fortress looks just great.

You can truly feel the island only in the mountains. The biggest top of Paros reaches 771 m. Such a rest is suitable for sports and solitude lovers. I advise you warmly dress, because from the neighboring island, the antiparos blows a strong wind.

Food in Paros is very cheap and simple. Most of all I liked "Greek cabbage rolls" wrapped in grape leaves. Almost every family independently produces wine, honey and olive oil.
