At the New Year holidays in early January 2010, my friends and I traveled on our own on cars for two days from St. Petersburg to Pskov. We looked, almost, the whole city. On the second day they went to a very interesting museum dedicated to the famous book by V. Caveryin "Two Captains". The museum is located in the Library Building and is located at the address: Oktyabrsky Ave., d. 7a. On the Internet, they read that the museum is open at the request of the wishing to visit the exposition. The library building is yellow, it is still pre-revolutionary, historical, as evidenced by a white plate on the wall.
We had a small group of seven people, including two schoolchildren's children. Employee opened the door to us. It was possible to inspect this small museum on their own, but we took a tour that cost only 95 rubles (adults of 15 rubles, schoolchildren for 10 rubles). And it is very good that we guessed this way - the guide told very interesting. We learned a lot about the most as the author of the "two captains", which was a native of the city of Pskov, and his family. It was interesting to hear about the prototypes of the heroes of the book - Captain Ivan Lvovich Tatarinov and Sani Grigorieva. It turns out that both heroes were collective images of two people. The captain of Tatarinov has largely repeated the features of two researchers of the Far North - Georgy Sedov and George Brusylov. And the image of Sanya Grigorieva was created on the basis of the features and characters of the pilot Samuel Klebanova and the young genetics of Mikhail Lobashyuva.
In the exposition of the museum there is a picture - the ship "Holy Maria", frozen in the ice, photographs of prototypes of the main heroes of the book, sea appliances, wooden steering wheel. Children were allowed to take pictures in the headset and polar gloves against the background of the helmet and poster with a sanitary motto: "Fight and search, find and not surrender!"
Near the museum is a very interesting monument to the two captains, made of ship bronze and stone. Captain Tatarinov is a bust on the stele. And Sanya Grigoriev -Figra Polar pilot in full growth in the Untes and the headset. This monument was established in 1995. The guide in the museum was told to us that Pskov schoolchildren come to the monument before exams to hold the right hand of Sanya Grigoriev, believe that it would bring them good luck. And indeed, we noticed that this finger is brighter, and the monument itself is dark.
We really liked the museum, largely due to the work of our guide. Adults remembered their school years and one of the most interesting works for children and young people, and our schoolchildren decided to read the famous book.
