One of my holidays and my husband and I had in Bulgaria, the resort of Golden Sands washed by the Black Sea. We flew to the airport of Varna, to our resort just 30 minutes drive, very convenient. The city of Golden Sands turned out to be a cozy city, comfortable, with clean air. Pretty green. The hotel booked in advance was in the second coastline, chose that it would not be very noisy, well, and cheaper. Our hotel provided us only breakfasts, but there are hotels in the golden sands that work on the "All Included" system. The territory from our hotel is not a big, just one pool, to hand to the beach.
Golden Sands An ideal place to relax, the most visited city by tourists. Sand fine-grained beach, with well-developed infrastructure. Along the coastline, the cafes, bars, in which you can not only have a snack, but also see the show, belly dance or listen to live music, or visit the restaurant -Craclable. On the beach you can ride on the banana, water bikes, skiing. For rest on the chaise lounge and under the umbrella, you will need to pay, but you can stay in your towel for free.
Since our hotel provided us only breakfast, then the rest of the time we fed at cafes, restaurants. Prices are not very high, portions are very large. The most expensive is fish dishes. Bulgarian cuisine is a mixture of Slavic, Turkish and Greek cuisines, the food is acute, for those who do not like such food, there are restaurants from European cuisine or fast food.
From the entertainment in the golden sands there is aqua park, yacht walks, diving, rafting, for family pairs with children there is a wonderful dolphinarium. Also for party lovers work bars and discos to dawn.
As for excursions, we took a trip to the ancient town of Nessebar. Our excursion lasted all day, included a walk around the city, visiting the main attractions, free time to buy souvenirs and visiting the restaurant.
Another amazing place is Aladja Monastery. This is a catacomb and a monastery carved in a rock. Also a very beautiful place, with a centuries-old history.
In many excursions, you can go on your own, for example, rented a bike or car, and spend the sights of as much time as you consider it necessary.
