In Jerusalem, in one of the excursions we visited Mount Zion.
Very beautiful mountain, though it is now completely built up with different memorable buildings, synagogues,
and temples, so it's very difficult to understand that this mountain. Especially in order to get into all the sights that the bus is located there brings to the very top, so it is not particularly necessary to go.
On Mount Zion is a hill, in which Jesus spent the last night, where the legs were washed. As far as I understand, this place was destroyed many times and restored, because today there are remnants and Turkish frescoes and on the windows of Italian stained glass windows, but on the spot where the story itself was an artificial tree.
Building with very high ceilings, and passing. Also, when leaving this doors, you can see the monument to King David with the harp.
Street on Mount Zion paved by stones, all buildings from white stone, and the beautiful blue sky create an unforgettable atmosphere of rest and peace.
Also, on Mount Zion is the temple of hospiters and the temple, on the site of which there was a house in which Maria died, the mother of Jesus.
Now there is a body of Mary from Gypsum and there are 12 white lilies, because, as the legend says that Maria died on the spot, the next morning there were 12 lilies, so from that time they bring them on this place, each Day New and beautiful lilies, in memory of such a great woman.
By itself, the mountain Zion is not big, but it can be a lot of interesting buildings on it, which keep the story from the birth of Jesus himself, and even further - in the days of the Old Testament during the reign of the great king David!
