The zoo is the place that the visit to which should leave a bunch of positive emotions from both the child and in an adult. That is how I reasoned, buying three tickets to the zoo: on me, my husband and our five-year-old daughter. I will not pay at once that the first time I drove there a daughter in a six-month old, when she still understood little, so I could not wait, when she finally matures, and we will spend a wonderful family day in the zoo.
Finally this day has come. Tickets were bought in advance. First, when buying online, you will save a couple of euros, secondly, you do not have to stand in a huge queue. Prices, of course, biting: an adult ticket is at the checkout of 21.5 euros, children's (3-9 years) - 18 euros. Near the zoo is parking, the zoo visitors can benefit enough to park the car for 9 euros for the whole day. The usual tariff at this parking lot is 4 euros per hour. Come to the zoo costs early when there are still places in the parking lot, and there are not so many people in the zoo itself. In the afternoon, especially in the dwelling day, the zoo is teeming with tourists and Dutch families with children.
We spent 5 hours in the zoo !!! I was surprised how my husband could stand it all. He has already managed to call all his friends, complain to his destiny, but there was no road back - 60 euros for entry had to work out! :) As for me and our daughter, we would have stayed for a couple of hours, because there really is, to which you see: huge aquariums, terrariums, room, equipped specifically for butterflies (very stuffy, like in real tropics), penguins, Sea lions, monkeys of various breeds, lions, panthers, jaguars, elephants, giraffes, flamingos, pelicans, beavers, a huge number of birds - it is impossible to mention all in this list. In a word, the pleasure that we got was undoubtedly worth the money spent, but, honestly, being in the car, I felt such fatigue (after 5 hours!) That in the next 5 years I hardly come back there again, but, Despite this, I recommend this zoo with all the tourists in Amsterdam from the bottom of my heart.
