To visit the Visegrad, we chose a separate day, because It is located away from the main attractions. The fortress is on the elevation, I had to climb up. Not bad physical exertion. Then I learned that you can go on the part of the subway "Vyšehrad", there is no lift there. If you are with children or prefer not to overvolt, choose this method. Also, there are a pavement and a large territory, dress comfortable shoes.
The fortress is open around the clock, but the exposition is up to 18-00. We were in two: Basilica St. Apostles Peter and Paul and Casemates.
Be sure to visit the Basilica, the entrance is only 30 kroons (about 80 rubles). Excursions We have not seen, but give a card with a description in Russian. Inside the temple is fully painted. Very richly decorated. Reminds our Orthodox Churches. There are few people, you can safely explore everything. In the basilica there is an old cemetery, but my husband and I are not lovers of such places, you did not go for more detail.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the caasemates. This is a big tunnel along the fortress. At the end of the tunnel, you can see authentic statues from Karlov Bridge (yes, there are copies). And this, in fact, everything. I think this route with narrow and dark transitions will be interested in more children as an example of a real castle. I do not recommend the rest. Excursions are mainly in English, they say that there is in Russian, but we did not see this in the schedule. The cost is higher than in the basil - 60 kroons, it seems.
Vysehrad is one of my favorite places in Prague. Tourists are a bit, a lot of greenery and clean air. On the perimeter of the fortress several viewing sites. Walk there is a pleasure. And the species we saw there are just wonderful.
