Mount Akhun is a very popular landmark of Sochi. If I was many times in the city, then I visited the mountain only once, but the impression remains. There is Ahun in the Khostinsky district of the city.
In one of the tourist tents, there are a lot, I bought a bus sightseeing tour of the city with a visit to this mountain.
On the bus, I approached it from turning from the resort avenue and to the top took about 30 minutes. Such a small serpentine, during which you admire the beautiful mountainous nature, listening to the legends about the name of the mountain, about Promethea, about the ghost of the bride ...
The top of Akhun is crowned with a 30-meter observation tower, to which a track with souvenir bears and cafes around the edges leads.
The excursion was in the evening, so the building of the tower seemed to me somewhat gloomy.
It was built in the 1930s of the twentieth century, and the feeling of centuries: coarse raw walls, arched slits for the windows, the gear decoration of the vertex with the observation platform.
The tower is quite high, so take a picture of it by capturing all the front, I failed.

There are many people, so all the time is in a hurry, encounter someone, it's hard to remove, because someone interferes with you, or you interfere with someone. But such extraordinary beauty of landscapes, it is unlikely else where you can see! On the top platform there is a telescope for detailed viewing, but it does not break to it.
At the top of Mount Akhun, there is not a long ferris wheel.
In the cafe a very pleasant tea with a chamber and a delicious Khachapuri, which I hung. I also liked a variety of wooden oriental style sculptures near the observation tower.
