Hämeenlinna is an amazing city and municipality in Finland in the province of Canta Hama. The distance between this city and Helsinki is 100 km away. A trip to Hayme Castle takes about 4-5 hours.
For all the years of its existence, Häme castle experienced fame and oblivion. Since most of Finland's castles are a big stone fortress, where noble people lived in the Middle Ages. Then the castle turned into a granary, prison and today is a monument of culture. In the castle, Hayam practical did not change anything. In the XVIII century, a picturesque bakery was located in the castle, where baked an incredibly delicious bread for the Swedish soldiers. From 1837 to 1952 held prisoners here. After reconstruction, the castle became a museum complex, where the fairs, battles of reconstructors and local holidays regularly organize. Also on the territory of the fortress there is a cozy cafe where you can have lunch or just a cup of fragrant coffee.
