Having passed the "Four Scandinavian capitals" of Helsinki in the two Scandinavian capital in the summer, remained caring for such sights of this city, as a monument to the Finnish composer of the 20th century, Jan Sibelius.

For Finnov Sibelius - the National Genius, which was given respect and honors during his lifetime. In addition to the music of different genres, Sibelius was written by Anthem Finland.

In 1967, ten years after the death of the composer, he was erected by a monument. The author of the work is the Finnish sculptor Eil Hiltunien.

There is a monument in Sibelius Park, near the Gulf of Finland, in the center of Helsinki.

I must admit that I have not experienced a strong delight from this creation.

It seemed to me strange and incomprehensible to me - a huge abstract metal structure of a different diameter and length pipes. The number of these pipes seems indispensable.

If you look from afar, I, for some reason, this creation seemed to seem like a mine-owned steel iceberg. The pipes themselves are somewhat remotely reminded the pipes of the body. They say that when the wind blows, then the monument is publishing sounds resembling music.

Our excursion was in a clear, sunny, windless day, so the construction was silent, although it was overflowing in the sun. It would be interesting to hear something?

Near the design is a bit scary, the feeling of instability of the object, as if he could fall. I saw some young excursant tried to shove my head into one of the pipes.

Next to the metal structure on the stone pedestal is the bronze head of Yana Sibelius.

For me, it is also strange - not a bust, not in full growth, but just a head.

Not humanly!

In general, the monument left an ambiguous impression, but was remembered by his uniqueness and originality. It is necessary to see it!
