In our travels we definitely get acquainted not only with historical monuments and attractions, we also attract modern architecture. The work of one of the greatest architects of modernity, Santiago Calatrava, I can't miss anywhere. Oriente's station in Lisbon, one of the most iconic buildings, I dreamed of seeing a long time ago. So, walking in the park of Nations, the district built to the World Expo-98 exhibition, we planned at home. We started from the station building, which is impressive and outside, and inside. The most interesting perspective - from the entrance to the Vasco de Gama shopping center:

Further, our way lay through the shopping center, by the way, I advise you to put it on a couple of hours. The shopping center, maybe not the biggest and not so much replete with various trademarks, but it is possible to find something interesting. In addition, as in all modern shopping malls, there is Fudcourt, where you can quickly and not very much. Through the building of the shopping center, we get directly in the Nations Park, during the exhibition it just served the entrance to the exhibition.

In this area, Lisbon residents love to spend the day off. I must say that the tourist can stay here for a whole day. The main goal, of course, is the aquarium, but we were without children, so they just walked, admired architecture and breathed in the wet air to be in the air. Along the coast you can ride on the cable car, you will open beautiful views of the Temlas, the Tower and the Vasco de Gama Bridge.
