I will start my story that our family loves to travel very much, and we visited many corners of our planet. This year, by virtue of many circumstances, the budget for rest was limited, but to go at least for a week to the sea at the beginning of September I really wanted. Stipping the heart, we chose on Bulgaria, in particular, on golden sands. Stipping the heart, because I had never seriously perceived this Black Sea country, because we all remember the well-known saying that the chicken is not a bird, but Bulgaria is not abroad.
But our family from the trip was returned under great impression and with great love for this country. As I already wrote above, we rested on golden sands. This is a very lively resort with a saturated nightlife. But it is saturated only for those who want it. Because all nightclubs and round-the-clock bars / restaurants are located in the city center, and this does not interfere with resting the guests of hotels remote from these places. During the day, the city is similar to the usual sea resort with a mass of shops, small cafes and stalls with ice cream, boiled corn and sweet cotton. Here you can buy inflatable circles, mattresses, sunscreen umbrellas and creams, summer hats, beachwear, etc. There are also small supermarkets with a large selection of fruits and alcoholic beverages. Something defined that it is necessary to buy here, I did not find it. With the exception of only Rakia - local vodka. Prices should be noted, very acceptable.
We rested in the first half of September and we were very lucky with the weather. In the afternoon it was hot, and in the evening we pushed lightweight sweathers and felt comfortable. The sea was warm and bathed every day.
But that we especially pleased, as these are beaches and the sea itself. The resort is, the so-called, "wild" beaches, where everyone can sunbathe absolutely free on their towels. And there are paid, equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, sometimes bars. All beaches are very clean, like the sea itself. Small sand, a gentle entrance to the sea is ideal for relaxing with young children. My son (4.5 years old) splashed with great pleasure on the shore along with other guys. But in mid-September, the sea begins to rage, and strong waves appear.
On the golden sands there is a small, but very good water park with a wonderful children's zone. There you can spend all the day with the whole family, what and we did. The slides are a bit, but the atmosphere itself is very pleasant. There is no rumbling music, as in many similar places, prices are very democratic, and the staff is polite.
Also from the advantages of the resort, and the whole country as a whole, I would like to note the lack of a language barrier, since our languages are very similar and no need to go into English. Maybe precisely because of this, Bulgarians, as it seemed to us, are very friendly to the Russians. In general, the service was very pleased. It also applies to the hotel, shops, and restaurants.
