About the holiday in Sunny Spain and I dreamed of a long time. And now there has been a wonderful time to leave. Turning to the travel agency, we chose and bought the tour of us in time and price, collected our suitcases and went on a trip.
Our acquaintance with Spain began with Barcelona Airport. After receiving the baggage, we found representatives of the tour operator, and our bus took us towards our main vacation destination - in Pinede de Mar.
Pineda de Mar is a small coastal town located on the Costa Brava, approximately an hour's drive from Barcelona. The first impression that I had caused this city is the feeling that you were in the Latin American TV series. Exactly the same two-story white houses, noisy shopping streets, high buildings of large hotels, houses in the colonial style and even the estates of local rich ... But about everything in order.
The main advantage of Pineda de Mar is her beach, stretching a few kilometers along the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is considered sandy, but I would say that it is rather very small pebbles. Walking barefoot here is cognate, so it is better to have comfortable beach shoes with you. But this does not spoil the overall impression. There is everything for an excellent rest. First of all, the beauty of the sea, this can be told infinitely. The transparent turquoise water so calls to himself. It is worth noting that the descent in the water is quite sharp, so resting with the kids you need to be careful. Along the entire beach there are numerous cafes offering soft drinks and food. Here you can rent a sun bed and an umbrella. We accounted for a simple towel. On the beach there are all sorts of entertainment for children (inflatable toys, circles, trampoline, etc.), dressing cabins and shower.
To get from the beach to the city, you need to go through the railway and go on one of the streets located perpendicular to the sea. All the streets leading to the sea, a bit of various souvenir shops and cafes, is always crowded here. Immediately you will find pharmacies, grocery stores, real estate agencies, etc.
If you arrive in Pineda de Mar, then you must see local historical sights. One of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in this city is the church. As Google says, the Church of the Virgin Mary Pineda was built in the 16th century. We did not come inside, but it was very impressed with me outside. The Palace of San Jalpi is also known to be known, in which the Cultural Center is now located.
In my opinion, the most interesting from our journey through Pineda is a walk through the Montnegro Park and visiting Montpalau Fortress. In order to get there you need to go to the side of the opposite sea and climb to the top of the mountain. The park is a protected area, there are many interesting vegetation, even there is a small waterfall. On the way to the fortress, you can see large private estates with luxurious houses through the fence. There are also fountains and rich gardens. They look like in the film. From the top of the mountain, a fascinating view of the city and the sea opens.
Despite the large number of tourists Pineda de Mar more relaxed city. Many pensioners and people with children are resting here. Therefore, for an interesting nightlife, we went to the next chalk, there we found some good nightclubs and bars. Before her from Pineda, you can walk in three minutes for thirty minutes. Just go along the sea towards Barcelona, definitely not get lost.
I would like to say that Pineda de Mar is a great opportunity for both beach and excursion holidays, as it is very easy to get to Barcelona. It was possible to get to the train, she walks often, the ticket cost 5 euros one way. In time to go about an hour. At the same time, the coast accommodation will cost much cheaper than in the capital of Catalonia. And the sea is always at hand. Not at all regretted that we stopped in this beautiful town, which gave us such a wonderful and multifaceted rest.
