Last year we decided to visit such a wonderful resort as Pomorie. It is only 20 km away. From Burgas International Airport, which consistently facilitated the issue of arrival at this resort. We flew by the aircraft with the whole family, I, wife and little baby. We really remember the rest for all my life, because the resort is just great.
To begin with, I will tell in brief about Pomorie. This is not greater town in the southwest of Bulgaria, closer to the borders with Greece. The city is divided into a new and old one, the old part of the city is located on a not larger Peninsula, due to which the wind is constantly blowing and to transfer a little easier. There are many old, beautiful buildings, narrow and quiet streets from an architectural point of view. In the new city there are all vacationers, there are usually some villas and hotels. There are no beaches in the old town, there is a beautiful embankment, which is pleasant to walk in the evening, or just sit in some kind of cafe on the seashore.
All beaches are located on the other side of the peninsula in the new city. The infrastructure is very good, you can rent a stationary umbrella or chaise longue, for example. You can simply be on heat peak. The sea is clean and not very deep, which is very convenient in the plan of relaxation with a small child. Behind the beaches are very good, the cleanliness is perfect. The further to delve from the Old Town, the darker the sand on the beach, right up to black. Local say that lying on such sand on the Black Sea shore is very and very useful for health.
We lived in the private sector, removed the apartment in a not more than four-story house, which was very convenient, because we were almost near the old city, where you could go to stroll or sit in some kind of cafe. By the way there are simply a huge amount with very democratic prices. Sometimes dine in a cafe is easier than to prepare yourself.
As for products and nutrition as a whole, I highly recommend trying their dairy products, but only a local production. There are a lot of small stores in Pomorie, you can buy everything you need there. There are two large supermarkets, there you can buy a pork or chicken and a lot of things delicious and useful.
In terms of entertainment, here is a complete variety, on the beach there are inflatable trampolines, attractions, catamarans, bananas and other inflatable pieces. You can swim on a walking boat with a sightseeing excursion. You can also go on an excursion to the neighboring city of Sozopol, this is a very old and ancient city with a beautiful architecture. If you want to see one of the largest cities of Bulgaria, then you need to visit Burgas, which is very close.
Every evening on the main pedestrian street of the city a huge number of holidaymakers, here you can buy souvenirs, and so some things at good prices, there are many shops there. You can also enjoy the game of street musicians, find other entertainment.
In a word, rest in Pomorie is something unforgettable, the sea of positive emotions, good mood and excellent memories. Here you gain strength per year ahead. Vacation succeeded in our glory, a great place to stay with the whole family.
