I always wanted to go to the Balkans. Of course, the closer to me is Serbia with her rhythm of life a la custuric, gypsies and joyful flavor. But, alas, there is no sea in Serbia, but I wanted to swim. And in July 2014 and my sister decided to go to Croatia.
Chose Medulin, mainly because of the price. Although travel agencies joyfully promise a cheap Mediterranean in Croatia, this is not the case. Popular resorts like Dubrovnik stand quite expensive for young travelers. Medulin is a more economical option, but it is for those who are ready to ride the sights and adventures.
We lived in a hostel, the benefit of them here. Local winds and waves that scare, for example, tourists with children are extremely attractive for athletes and windsurfers. So there are many of them here, therefore hostels are enough, young Europeans are not very fond of spending on vacation.
Platform beaches, which are also frightened by domestic travel agencies, is not about Medulin, there is quite a decent pebble (and the city beach is so sandy, but we did not bathe). The sea is just beautiful! Clean and in July warm.
In general, Medulin is a very cozy and some kind of hometown. There are no special attractions here, only the old town, to which a chic look from the coast:
There you can walk, evaluate the narrowness of Croatian streets and products of local production. Of course, there are also a huge number of souvenirs.
Then you can walk along the medulla itself and calm the nostalgic details of the type of waxing on the facades of the linen after washing:
If you want to see something more, you can go from Medulin anywhere. Croatia is a small country, and I really regretted that we had no right, because it can be seized along and across the car. Without a car, we went to the pool to look at the city as a whole and on the ruins of an ancient amphitheater in particular:
In the Park Vesuliy, where you can walk great and look at the findings of archaeologists again:
And in Dubrovnik, where we swept on the cable car and watched the Museum of Military photos of the time of the Yugoslav conflict (this is for lovers, but the exhibition is really very impressive). In the pool there are a bunch of clubs and other evening entertainment, but we are not the fans of such a holiday, so they did not go.
In general, I liked Croatia. A cute and hospitable country where you can relax and look at something interesting. It would be interesting to compare it, for example, with neighboring Montenegro, but it seems, I still have ahead))
