I always wanted to go to Egypt only because of Cairo, Giza, Luxor and other historical sites (Children's love for the film "Mummy" made himself felt)). But in January 2015, the husband found a very cheap tour to Naama Bay, and I decided: God with him, we are going! And there on the spot we will get to excursions, etc.
The weather in January was very pleasant: not hot, there is no rain, the water in the sea is warm. Of course, the Red Sea is something! I have not yet seen anything more beautiful.
It is not surprising that there are so many divers in Naama Bay. In general, there are almost one tourists, local (which are not traded in the market and do not offer excursions) find hard. We were in the residential quarter Plus went to Sharm el-Sheikh, since he is very close. Impressions depressing, for dirt, poverty and destruction. In general, the mentality of the Egyptians struck me out, they live in a country with such possibilities and absolutely not use them!
But let's return to Nama Bay. So, there is one large shopping center here (it was then only discovered, trade was not very bolko, but we found a room-museum with local archaeological finds), a huge amount of small benches (with disgustingly intrusive sellers), many cafes, and, of course, Hotels. By the way, we rested without all inclusive, bought products in the local carrefour, which was very happy. In the markets, everything is expensive, in the store they took cheap fruits (husband - Papaya fan and other exotic) and all kinds of interesting types of local spices, carcade and pink jam. In general, prices in Nama Bay are indecent expensive for such a country as Egypt. Another busy moment: Dollars you can change to the Egyptian pounds, but the pounds are changed back - no. We sent us with this question to the bank in Cairo, but even refused there, they said that they have such an order in the country))
It is clear from the description that the city is not at all interesting (like Sharm el-Sheikh), you want adventures - go to excursions. We went to Mount Sinai (where is just amazing!)

In general, 10 days in Naama Bay flew quickly. After his arrival home accurately determined for himself, that in Egypt, if I return, then only in Alexandria and Luxor, which we did not have time to see. A beautiful sea, a good climate and a rich story, alas, are lost behind the repellent behavior of Aboriginal, mud and a feeling of madness of what is happening outside the hotel. And maybe it's just not my country.
