We love Thailand very much and try to get frequently there. In one of these trips, we decided to stay at the resort of Kao Varnish, which is not far from Phuket. But the differences between them are just amazing. The Kao varnish is a soft, pleasant climate even in the "rainy season", which, by the way, is rare here. The sun luminars all the time. The air humidity here is lower than in Pattaya or Bangkok, so the heat is not felt so much, and it is easier to breathe here.
We chose Kao Varnish also because almost the entire resort is a big national park with an unspoiled human nature. If I'm not mistaken, there are 7 national parks in Kao varnish, where you can go. In addition, Kao varnish walks ships and ferries to the Similan and Surin Islands with stunning coral reefs.
As for the beaches, they are wonderful. We have not met more picturesque beaches. On the one hand, there are a sea and sand, and the tops of the mountains and mangroves are visible. Kao varnish is washed by the Andaman Sea, it is purest. There are excitements on the sea, but the tides are not very pronounced. Warm water, you can swim at any time of the day. In August, the beaches are semi-empty, often we were the only visitors to the beaches. There are no special entertainment on the water, here in priority swimming and tan. Just full relax.
What we did not like, so this is the condition of the roads. Despite the beauty of the resort, it is not particularly walking here - all the roads are broken, there are no sidewalks in principle. Perhaps, all this is still the consequence of the tsunami in 2004 and the roads simply did not have time to restore, although it would be time. You can travel on Kao varnish on a moped, bicycle or scooter. Suppose, in our hotel there was a bicycle rental service.
Hotels are expensive at least more or less decent. And I do not advise you in cheap - dirty, many insects and disgusting food. But in local cafes, they feed very tasty, European cuisine, and even more Russian, practically no. But Thai dishes just hide your fingers. Especially here are good royal shrimps in the batter and the famous Thai soup. But here there are a lot of spices in dishes, if you do not like them, warn about this waiter when you place an order.
Kao varnish is a wonderful resort, if you love a calm, leisure holiday and want to be alone with you and nature. The rest here will be boring, as the entertainment in the resort is practically absent, and tourists, especially not in the peak of the tourist season, is extremely small.
