French town Annecy in the summer.

Annecy is a small wonderful town in the east of France, a little distance from the neighboring Switzerland. It is from there that my car journey began in Annecy, to a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. Distance from Geneva to Annecy is 40 km, which can be overcome in 30 minutes, but the road takes longer. At the border of Switzerland and France, you need to pay a paid track, and sometimes there is a small queue (but the views are beautiful there, so you can stand up)).

Despite the slightly over 50 thousand local residents, Ansi creates the impression of a very crowded metropolis - a free parking place to find difficult even on a weekday, but I did not upset me to do a few unnecessary circles through the beautiful city in his search.

An interesting detail of the city is that he has accumulated the best tourist routes of Europe - French Alps, Swiss Lake, the narrow streets of the Middle Ages of any Western European city, Venetian water canals and bridges.

No in vain Annecy is sometimes called French Venice.

The main landmark of the city of Annecy is the same lake - landscaped beaches (sand paid and somewhat herbal) for the adoption of water and solar baths contribute to the development of popularity for tourists not only in terms of sightseeing tourism, but also a beach holiday.

Service and services are very well developed - you can rent catamarans, water bicycles, boats. But without taking a swimsuit with him, we decided to walk around the city, which also became an excellent time - the embankment of 9 km allows to make promenade and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Restaurants in Annecy - a separate story. If you have been to Venice, then we can say that the restaurants Annecy has already seen - a full copy of the narrow streets with channels and a cafe with terraces. Most visitors order pizza and wine, which even more reminds Italy. I think that ordering pizza in France is a blasphemy, so when visiting the restaurant, I was limited to Nisauas Salat, introducing at least some French notch to rest.

In general, I fully recommend Annecy to the visit, but, probably, as an additional bonus during the rest in Switzerland or France.
