Algeria - Capital Sahara

Anonim

I traveled to Algeria in August 2014, but, nevertheless, I also had time, and the opportunity to appreciate the comfort of staying in Algeria. The city of Algeria, or rather its modern part, located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.

The old part of the city is located on the hills and its main attraction is the Kasba fortress built by Turks.

As for organized tourism, the main tourist proposal in Algeria is a trip to the Sahara desert, which occupies 80 percent of the country's area. Well, I did not fail to take advantage of the opportunity to visit the biggest desert of the world. Although, it seems like, Antarctica is also a desert, but it is formally. The real desert, at least, I had such an impression of books and films, it is a crewing heat, sands, camel caravans, wearing scaffolders, oasis and mirages.

In general, I decided to visit the Sahara in the hope that I would see a real desert. The trip was liked, and disappointed. I liked the fact that I still visited Sahara, did not like the fact that we were not more showed by the desert, but a theatrical presentation.

In August, in Algeria, it's hot, after all, this is Africa, though northern, but the air is dry and the sea is warm.

Despite the fact that Algeria has a very extended coastline, almost 1000 km., Beach infrastructure in Algeria is developed weakly, not compared with Tunisia.

Perhaps it is associated with the severity of Muslim customs, more severe than in the same Tunisia. There was a case when my familiar girl was led by the local women scratched fruit for the fact that she went to the city in a blouse without sleeves, with naked hands. And to develop the beach infrastructure in Algeria only makes sense if you attract foreign tourists, and this means that almost naked women will appear on the beaches. Algerian women themselves bathe in long dresses and scarves, that is, the body, and their head is completely closed.

The kitchen, of course, exotic, but rather tasty, although I did not like the famous Couscous. As for shopping, it is especially nothing to buy, it seems that souvenirs sold in Algeria are made in China.
