If you are traveling by the Netherlands, this tiny country, the centuries of the leading struggle with the sea for every millimeter of sushi, you simply must visit the coast of the North Sea. In my opinion, one of the most optimal options for acquaintance with Coastal Holland is to visit the village of Vykk-aan-Zey (Wijk-aan-Zee), a picturesque settlement on the very coast of the North Sea. Getting to Vikk-aan-Zey from Amsterdam is quite simple, you just need to get to the town of Baeverwijk by train. The train departs from the Central Station of Amsterdam every 30 minutes, before Baefervyan goes about the same - half an hour. In Baefervyak, you should cross the bus, next to Vykk Aan Zey and approximately 15 minutes to go out at the final stop - Juliana Square (JulianaPlein). To the beach from there with hand to hand!
Whenever I come to Vykk Aan Zey, I feel like a resort. It's completely different here, unlike the same Amsterdam, a leisurely life, the people, wagging from the beach in some swimsuits, small cafes with visitors and, most importantly, sand dunes and a beach, a wonderful beach, which we see it in films about Western Europe.
There are a lot of visitors in any weather. In winter, a terrible wind is blowing here, but, despite this, you can see a lot of couples walking for the handle or seven, quenching your pets and children who shove into rubber boots and allow them to "measure" in them the puddles left by the sea on the beach.
Sand here is clean, several times I watched the painting unusual Russian eye, as special tractors sift the sand, leaving bizarre striped patterns on it. The spectacle is still!
In the summer, the whole town of small houses grows on the beach.
The Dutch loves to spend here summer, feeling at home, like on vacation. If you come to the beach to sow on the sand, it is best to take a special awning or a screen that will protect you from the wind, which in these parts is a frequent guest, more precisely, not even a guest, but rather the owner of the beach. I have not had to swim in the Netherlands. Water in the North Sea is too cold even in the warm season, although in very hot days the Dutch is swimming with pleasure, and spacious beaches begin to remind Sochi, where there is no place to fall apart!
