In October 2015, my husband and Son went to Egypt. The hotel was chosen in Hurghada, especially near Luxor - I really wanted to see the Pharaoh Valley and this ancient city.
An excursion from Hurghada to Luxor cost $ 60, so the husband and her husband stayed at the hotel to engage in their favorite snorkeling, and I got dry pieces in the hotel's restaurant and moved at 5 am.
The path was not possible - collecting the rest of tourists on other hotels, the bus went through the desert. It is not particularly for that, the guide is dreamed, tourists too. Fortunately, the road in the desert is perfect, without bumps and choke. Three hours later, in the city of Ken, everyone woke up and the life of ordinary Egyptian citizens was observed from the window, so different from ours. Unfortunate floors of houses (completing on the floor, when the next generation acquires the family), men with hookah, sitting right on the street, loosening windows without glasses and curtains, children-beggars, huge clusters of little bananas at the shops on the streets, very colorful.
Karnak Temple, or Luxor Temple - an incredible creation of man. Believe me, it is worth seeing. When you look up, on the columns, the head is spinning from the height, but all this construction from the above stone long before the invention of the construction equipment! Two thousand years old were erected - courtyards, temples in the temple, colossa, alleys of sphinxes with lamb heads - everything should be considered and even touch ... Seven times bypassing the giant scarab and guess the desire, I gained confidence that it will be fulfilled)
The temple of the queen Hatshepsut, the only female Pharaoh, was also very impressed. Located right in the rock, its terraces and now allow you to vividly present the magnificence of gardens and open areas that gave coolness during the times of Pharaohs right in the middle of the desert.
Of course, there was no "mandatory" program for tourists - visits to the agromat shops, alabaster transportation, the Museum of Papyrus, moving on the ship on the Nile, on which it and the case obsessively strive to sell us something. Many were seduced, as Alebastrovaya Figurine or Papyrus - a good souvenir from Egypt.
And also - I advise you to look at your own things and be careful! At the market near the entrance to the valley of the kings, the girl from our group snatched a wallet from the hands of a wallet, and in the Karnakian temple, a colorlessly dressed Bedouin offered a friend to take a picture of us and after that I traveled money for our camera)) But it did not spoil the impression of a striking historic place.
