Literally recently returned from Thailand. Rested at two resorts: Pattaya and Krabi. In this revocation, I will leave the impression of Pattaya.
Location of the hotel. Successfully chose region in which we lived - Jomtien. For those tourists who do not need constant noise, discos, a large number of tourists - the perfect option. In the center, on "Volking Street" traveled 10 minutes of Tuk-Tukov (the cost of 10bat in one direction per person, 1 $ = 25,5bat). Beach across the road. Near the night market where you can buy everything you need and at ridiculous prices. In terms of infrastructure - the region does not lag behind: enough cafes, shops, restaurants, pharmacies, in a word, here without any problems to purchase everything that may be needed during rest.
Following, sea . It's no secret that in Pattaya Sea Nikudushny. But actually in the Jomtien region it is relatively cleaned compared to the city center. But I still did not bathe in it.
You need to go to clean water. The first, the most popular option is the island of Ko Lan. But to get to him long: 15min. Tuk-Tukov, 15min. walking through the "Volkin Street" to the pier, 40min. on a ferryboat. Then they took the bikes and 10 minutes. We drove to a good beach. Say that I am delighted with him? Not. Water is clean, but too many tourists. The rest of the days went by car at Pattaya Military Beach (approximately 60km from the hotel). Here the impression is already completely different. The water is clean, pine trees grow on the beach, something resembled Croatia. And few people rest mostly local, as many tourists do not know about it.
Prices . Cheap and angry. Of course, there are expensive fashionable restaurants, but we did not go there. The most expensive dinner cost 1500 baht, which in dollars at the same rate - about $ 40. In all other cases, they bought food in local markets - tasty, affordable, cheap.
The overall impression of Pattaya? I will not go here here. Because it compared it with other regions of Thailand. In the program of our tour, I included this resort just for the sake of sightseeing programs: visited the Nong Nuchi Tropical Park, Khao-Kheo Zoo, the True Temple, historical excursions in the city.
Output : Pattaya is not suitable for those tourists who want a maritime passive recreation, but for those who want active nightlife, entertainment, discos.
