If Greece is sure to Santorini. Of course, Rhodes or Crete on themselves are attention, but Santorini is a business card of Greece, its image can be seen almost on all postcards of this country. Nowhere white houses do not contrast with blue water, and there is no such romantic sunsets anywhere.
One day - it was as much as we spent on this small volcanic island in the Aegean Sea. The size of the island is so small that one day was enough for us to drive around the entire Santorini on the car (we took the car, you can take a scooter)
We visited the island at the end of October. This time, in my opinion, the most ideal. First, few tourists, secondly, not hot and third, is not so expensive, as in the season.
Being so little we focused, of course, on the most famous sights.
Fira and Oia are the two largest and most famous cities in Santorini and both, of course, charming.
Fira because of its location, it can be said that practically "hanging" on the edge of the cliff. Be sure to go through the streets of the city, go down to winding steps to the old port. Here come large cruise ships and ferries from the neighboring islands. There are several souvenir shops and good taverns with an amazing sea view.
To climb up, you can use the cable car and see the city from the height, and you can, in just 5 euros, enter the mountain on the back of the donkey.
Ia, a little less than a fig, but an insanely beautiful city. White houses, small windows, blue dome chapels, artists selling their paintings and cozy, narrow streets ... All this creates a romantic and relaxing mood. In the very center of Iia, there is a maritime museum, in which exhibits are exhibited, testifying to the ancient maritime traditions, but we did not get there, the second half of the day was already. In the evening, the city begins to be filled with tourists. People occupy the best places. Everyone is easily waiting for the famous sunset. The at night illumination looks amazing. We really did not see such a beautiful sunset anywhere. There are so many lovers and happy people around! Magic atmosphere.
It is clear that one day did not give the opportunity to see more, but for the knowledge of the island, this is enough. See Santorini, probably worth any money, and we will definitely come here yet, but for a long time.

Perissa Beach, I also call him a black beach. He is actually covered with black as coal with small sand.
Beach "Red Beach" in the direction of the city of Akrotiri. Beach can be reached on foot, overcoming rock slopes. He appears a beautiful red sand bay separated from the mainland with huge cliffs.
