For several years I dreamed of visiting Sicily, and especially the main city of Islands - Palermo. And now, the long-awaited vacation has come, and the tickets have already been bought, by the way, I planned an individual journey, not from the tour operator, because tickets at a very favorable tariff. It helped me significantly reduce costs. Palermo begins to surprise at the airport, the fabulous view of the sea opens already here.
At the end of June, when I was on Sicily, the air warmed fine, the warmth was and at night and day. Nevertheless, the city is all of the white stone, which heats up, but does not rake in the sun, it is always nice to sit down at the fountain or on a stone bench.
I lived in the very center, in a small family-run hotel with a very spiritual atmosphere and a delicious satisfying breakfast. In restaurants, food is not the cheapest, but a huge selection of seafood, but in the city there are many kiosks for snacking on the run, where you can satisfy the euro.
Pearl Palermo - Mondello Beach. It is located in the suburbs, but from the center conveniently reach by bus. Azure water, a purest beach with a white sand face, with an interesting beach architecture and shady alleys on the waterfront. Magic place to relax.
The city itself left a storm feeling a variety of impressions: there is a lot of interesting attractions from natural places to the mass of Catholic churches with elegant decorations. As in Rome, Palermo has a huge number of temples, these are huge pompous cathedrals, and small chapels.
I dwell on Sicily during some local holiday, at first I thought that there was some strike in the city. In the center of the capital of the island, hundreds of people with transparencies were waiting for their own hours. And then all over the center of the city followed the column, driving the well-known song "Ciao, Bella, Ciao!". Torny festive mood throughout the city.
At night in Palermo, a completely different life, but in any case, it concentrates closer to the port.
Here and the streets with conceptual bars, where the musicians sow "Chegevara" and modern parties and clubs with high-quality electronic mixes.
The city left the wonderful impression of the holiday, the world of the sun and smiling people.
