I think that such a question has repeatedly arose in my head not only those who came to rest in Antalya or is going to do this in the future, but also bought real estate here for the purpose of permanent or temporary residence in this beautiful city. That's the way five years ago, I did it buying an apartment and moves to live here. As an avid fisherman, I had to look for fishing seats on my own, because there was practically no information on this topic. This is me and pushed to writing this article.
It is clear that living on the seashore, at first glance, there should be no problems with fishing, but I wanted to sit more with a fishing rod on the bank, surrounded by greenery and catch the usual freshwater fish. For several months I went out suitable places, I went around a lot of kilometers on foot, even looked at the satellite maps of Antalya, and as a result, my search was crowned with success. I found a small river, kilometers three from my house. It is located almost on the departure from Antalya, from Kemer. This area is called Sarysu, and the river flows into the sea, from which its inhabitants are not only freshwater, but also maritime. The first thing I saw on this river is the local fishermen who caught in her kefal. I even upset a little, because I thought: "Well ... again a marine fish ... At that moment I had spinning and several silicone bait. Leaving an hour, I realized that the predatory fish here, in all likelihood, no. I had to go home and in the next coming to this place was more prepared. This time I had a chance to catch a few Kefali, and a pretty decent size, one crab and most importantly, two crucians and a small Sazan, who first accepted the crucian. It proved that I was not mistaken and freshwater fish there.
The following my trips were more successful because I had already walked on fishing all the way. Feeder rod, float fishing rod and pair of cuddles-donok. I even found a strategic-deficient bait, with which there are big difficulties, these are worms. But the problem of catching on this river consists precisely that there are quite a few crabs and use a worm can only be used on a float rod when the bait is in medium water. On the feeder tackle, the worm does not use the opportunity, they immediately become the prey of crabs. Therefore, I had to use bread, corn and various porridge.
According to the habit, I always go fishing very early and when local fishermen only come to fish, and this is not earlier than ten-eleven o'clock in the morning, I'm already going home. And I noticed that the Turks catch an exceptionally float tackle and mostly kefal. I think that they do not recognize the existence of Sazanov and even Somov, on this little river which, as it turned out, is also found here. I caught my first catfish in Sarysu, probably on the fourth or fifth fishing. For me it was a shock, when the Donka worked, and from the water there was a pretty head. From surprise, I almost fell into the water, because I did not immediately understand that this is som. Despite the small size, and it was 75 centimeters the length, it seemed to me that this was some monster. His eight mustache died me.
Beach fishermen say that it is a big luck to catch this kind. I could not not take a picture of him already coming home. He ran into pickled corn, which I bought in the store.
As for Sazanov, they rarely come across corn, the bread works more often. Apparently accustomed to the fact that local fishermen when catching Kefali, bread and intensively fit the place. The last time I went fishing last week, but everything was limited to a few crucibles, because I caught only on the float fishing rod.
Four years ago, the river in Sarysu was in a rather deaf place, in the thickets of shrub and a reed. It was almost visible from the track, therefore not many knew about her. Last year, the city authorities turned this site into an excellent recreation area, with landscaped beaches and places for family holidays.
Even a separate beach, especially for women, opened.
But big fishery lovers, as before, can come here and enjoy their hobby. Moreover, their number even increased. Personally, I will come here to continue.
Speaking of marine fishing, the main mass of the fishermen is going on the beach of Konyaalti, in the area of Porto White, where another river flows into the sea. Using, as a rule, the tackle of "Samodor", for catching Kefali. I must say that in the river, which flows into the sea, also catch the kefal on the float fishing rods. I tried to throw spinning on this river, but no avail, the predator looks like it does not. With the beach not only kefal is caught.
It comes across the sea bass, though it is very rare, Chupr (by the way there is a rather tasty fish) and Lavra (the Turks are called Lekrek). Sometimes other species, including the fish ball, which is inflated by air. Friends said that squid came across. This winter I will try and I have a purely to squid.
Of the more removable fishing sites, I can call the river in the area of the city of Manavgat, where international competitions in sports fishing are sometimes held. And about a hundred fifty kilometers from Antalya, to the side of the Spartes, there are two large lakes, the upper and lower Karajorn. Fishing there is quite interesting, because several species of fish are inhabited in these lakes, including those predatory.
