Each time, arriving in Sharm el-Sheikh, I open all new places for myself. It turns out that in addition to those known to all singing fountains of the Socho, night clubs, the old market, Nama Bay and the Entertainment Center "Thousand and One Night" in the city there is still a lot of interesting things. Sharm el-Sheikh is a very young resort, so all his sights have nothing to do with ancient Egypt.
By purchasing a whole package of various excursions in the street agency, we were offered as a bonus to hold a personal visorization tour of Charma.
One of its items was a visit to the Coptic Orthodox Church. Copts are Arabs-Christians who are considered as descendants of the ancient Egyptians, there are about 5-7% of the total population of Egypt. The mosque was built in 2006 in a quiet area away from hotels and entertainment centers. The building has a rectangular shape, two minaret for 26 meters and a large dome. Inside, not Muslims are not allowed, but you can like the territory.
Tyrant Island is clearly visible from Sharm El Sheikh coast. Around it is located one of the marine national parks. After Ras-Mohammed is the second place in popularity. As far as I know, there is no excursion to the island, and all yachts stop in coastal waters. Those who wish can do diving or snorkeling.
One of the attractions of the reserve is the stranded and almost completely rotted ship. Someone from the crew of our yacht told us that this is a Russian vessel named "Julia".
