I really liked Paphos. Unlike Ayia Napa, there are many different attractions, a beautiful embankment with an old fort. Most of the holidaymakers that we met in Paphos were Europeans - the British, Germans and others. Very nice to walk here in the evening, sit in the local tavern on the waterfront behind the wine glass and taste the traditional fish assortment - mese.
The beaches are not the strongest path of Paphos. Most beaches here are stony. But every self-respecting hotel cleans the hotel at sea and you can swim without any problems. Well, that, unlike the same aya napa, umbrellas and lounge chairs at hotels that stand on the first line - free. The best beach in this area, in my opinion, is located in the suburbs of Paphos, called Coral Bay. It is distinguished by a wide beach stripe, sandy at sea. You can get calmly by bus. By the way, it is very convenient to move on buses around the city for those who stopped away from the center. Travel costs 1.5 euros. You can walk through the promenade, which stretches along the sea. In the morning, very cool on such a track run, enjoying the sea view.
In Paphos and its surroundings, many interesting places worth visiting. And the center of Paphos is included in the UNESCO Heritage List. Not far from Paphos there are places related to Aphrodite. This is a swimsuit of Aphrodites and Stones Aphrodite or Peter Tu Romiou - a place where the Goddess of Love came out of the marine foam on the legend. There can also be reached by public transport. There you can spend quite a long time, try to enhance the stones, search for pebbles in the form of a heart.
In Paphos, there is your airport, but I understand that there are few airlines flying there. If you, as we arrive in Larnaca, you will have to go to Paphos, it's on the bus.
In Paphos, there are many hotels and entertainment for every taste and wallet. This is a European city with an old atmosphere. Suitable for romantic holidays and for active and inquisitive tourists. Maybe the beaches of Paphos are not very suitable for relaxing with young children. I am pleased to come back there again.
