The trip to Venice has emerged unexpectedly. Familiar parents gave a tour, and they suggested and join us. We had the benefit of visas, and everything else was quickly organized. We set off the four of the May holidays in the most romantic city of the world - Venice. At this time of the year it rains here, and everywhere there is such dampness that you will quickly freeze. But we were lucky, and it was almost constantly sunny, only twice the drop of small rain. Things were warm with them, therefore, warmly dressed and grabbing umbrellas, we went to inspect the city center.
Where to begin? Of course, from the San Marco Square - the heart of the city. The first thing that rushes into the eyes is the clouds of pigeons. If they start feeding them, they fly to you, sit on shoulders and clothes, and then try to get rid of them. Pigeons are absolutely manual. On the perimeter of the entire area there are historical structures. We did not come to the palace and the Cathedral of the San Mark, and they loved the skill of architects from the street, they drove the aromatic coffee in a cafe on the square, and went on to roam around the city. Here, each pebble carries the historical memory of the old days.
The streets create a labyrinth and without a card do not figure out where you are, and you don't get around everything on foot, because the city is on the water. To see the bridge of sigh and the Rialto Bridge, hired Gondola and swam. The canal was not impressed. It smells like very unpleasant to him, the water is frantic, but they quickly forget about it, as you get distracted by local beauties. Surprising how people were able to build a city on the water with such buildings, while they hold out and prepay many more years.
Souvenir shops are a lot, but we were interested in the masks, because they ordered them as souvenirs, as much as 5 pieces, and I need to purchase something for myself. From the first attempt, everything was bought.
We watched the Church of the Virgin Mary, which was built in 1681 in honor of the relief of the city from the plague. The entrance for tourists is free, so there are many people there, and we decided not to linger in it.
In the evening, dined in restaurants where it was possible, not only enjoy, Italian music, but also to dance.
The trip really liked, and the Spirit of Venice settled in our souls. Of course, it is better to go here at a warmer season, but it is not fundamentally. After all, the main thing to see the sights and feel romanticism of Venice.
