In Thailand, we rested relatively recently - in November 2014, the trip, however, was planned for a couple of months, they paid all on their own, because they were afraid to resort to the services of travel agencies after the summer situation (when travel agencies were ruined alone by one). For recreation, we chose Phuket, because according to tourists' reviews, it was clearer and more often than Pattia (although more expensive), and the main criterion for choice for us was the presence of a clean sea and the beach. For recreation, we chose a hotel, formally located on the Karon Beach (at least all taxis and transfers considered a trip to it, as a trip to Karon), although he was not so far from Kata's beach, and we went to swim on both the beach.
Describing the cost of a trip, I will try to include in the story all the waste that we have done on vacation - the cost of flight, accommodation, shuttle, food, entertainment, excursions and souvenirs. On Phuket, we traveled together, so all waste were on two adults.
Flight
We live in St. Petersburg, the flight we chose the route Saint Petersburg - Moscow - Bangkok - Phuket. Flight to Moscow was separate, we chose the S7 airline, because they had the most convenient flight. We arrived at Domodedovo Airport. Tickets there - back cost us 12 thousand for two.From Moscow, we flew to Phuket with a change in Bangkok, using the services of the National Thai carrier - Thai Airways. We fell on some kind of discount, so the ticket for one person there was back to us at 23 thousand, respectively, 46 thousand for two. In general, the impressions of the airline are not bad, served quickly, quite worn in English, on board were entertainment - a multimedia screen with music, films and games - even a couple of films in Russian. One substantial minus - on the way there Thais managed to lose our luggage, they eventually brought him early in the morning the next day.
Total: the cost of the flight - 58 thousand rubles.
Accommodation
The hotel, we, naturally, also chose themselves, taking advantage of the most famous site among travelers - Booking.com. We needed a 4 star hotel, which would be not far from the beaches of Karon and Kata, as we really wanted to get on both and on the other beach. More for us, quite good reviews and breakfast included in the price were important because we did not want to go for breakfast to any cafe, and also did not feel the desire to prepare themselves. Well, of course, I wanted to find a hotel at a less reasonable price - that is, not 150 thousand in two weeks. As a result, we stopped on Diamond Cottage Resort and Spa which was just between the caron and the rod (5-7 minutes walk to the caron and 10-15 minutes to Katu). In general, the hotel turned out to be not bad - large rooms, a hassle breakfast, a green area, polite and helpful staff. With the numbers, however, maybe there may be lucky, and maybe there may be no one to settle in the old case, where the rooms are worse or in the new where they are better. For a two-week stay at the hotel with breakfast and free internet, we gave 52 thousand rubles.
Total: accommodation costs - 52 thousand rubles.
Food
As I have already written above, we had only breakfasts in the hotel, so the rest of the time we fed at various cafes. For lunch, as a rule, we did not go anywhere, because they preferred to spend this time on the beach. Instead, we bought fruit, water and cookies and fir straight on the beach. For dinner we went to a cafe, they were not particularly limited in food, they took everything that I wanted - rice with seafood, fish, shrimp, other seafood, etc. I will immediately say - we are not alcohol lovers, so for all the time I drank a maximum of a couple Alcoholic cocktails, and in the rest of the time there were fresh juices or tea. One evening campaign in a cafe cost us an average of 1000 - 1200 baht, that is, about 2,000 rubles. Fruits, water and cookies for the day - approximately 200-300 baht, that is, about 500 rubles. Total, per day opened an average of 2500 rubles, for 14 days - 35 thousand rubles.
Total: nutrition costs - 35 thousand rubles.
Excursions
During the rest, we went to two organized excursions (on the day each), on the show fantasy and for a taxi reached the monastery and the Big Buddha.
Organized excursions We acquired in the travel agency Marusya Travel - this is the local company, was not far from our hotel. Their prices were average, in principle, all that they promised, they were fulfilled. We traveled for one maritime excursion - Phi - Phi,
For one day - about 3,000 baht for two, in the Kao varnish nature reserve - also almost all day (returned at 6 pm) - 2,500 baht for two. For the show fantasy, we gave about 4,000 baht for two - took golden places. And finally, a taxi trip to the Church of Wat Chalong (free of charge) and on the viewing platform to the Bolshoi Buddha (also for free) it cost us 1500 baht. Thus, on the excursions, we spent 11 thousand baht or 20 thousand rubles.
Total: expenses for excursions - 20 thousand rubles.
Other expenses and souvenirs:
In addition to trips on excursions, in the day we went to Thai massage, the benefit of the salon was directly opposite our hotel, the quality of massage and prices there were quite suitable. Traditional Thai massage or foot massage for an hour there was 300 baht per person. Basically, we took some of these two options, although I went to aroma a couple of times - massage and on the so-called spa day (that is, a program for 2-3 hours). If calculating on average, we went to the massage 7 times 7, we paid accordingly, 600 baht for two, and about 4,000 baht, that is, 7 500 rubles.
And finally, souvenirs. We did not buy anything special, took a basket of exotic fruits, coconut oil, aroma - sets, a pair of wooden statuettes, some clothes. All this cost us 3,000 baht, that is, about 6 thousand rubles.
Total: spending on massage and souvenirs - 13 500 rubles.
Thus, a trip for two weeks two to Karon - Beach to a four-star hotel with a couple of excursions, a show, massage and souvenirs cost us about 180 thousand rubles . In my opinion, this is quite an average price - we did not drink dear alcohol, did not fly by helicopter, but also did not save anything on anything.
