Where to go in Agadir and what to see?

Anonim

The most popular beach resort Morocco Agadir attracts both local residents and foreigners. Unfortunately, the original vintage buildings in Agadir practically did not remain - almost all of them were destroyed by a strong earthquake. Almost all the sights of Agadir are new, but his embankment, beaches and modern buildings are so good that it will be disappointed here only a completely agar story lover.

Fortress Kasba Ufella

The Kasba Fortress, built more than five hundred years ago, originally looked a small castle, later the ambulance and turned into a quarter of the Agadir. Now you can see only a fortress wall stretching along the hill: the fortress itself was destroyed during the most powerful earthquake. Nevertheless, the fortress is very attractive among tourists, thanks to panoramic views from here: you can admire the wide beaches of Agadir, the local bay, the city itself and the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Especially beautiful the fortress wall at night due to the spectacular backlight. There is a fortress near the port, the entrance to it is free.

Ksen al bahr fortress

Ksen Al Bahr fortress is located on the rocky coast of the Atlantic, and it was built at the very beginning of the XVI century by Portuguese to protect the port. The fortress is quadrangular, with the tower around the perimeter. Here is the prison tower and ancient cannon. Views from the fortress on the medina and the coast are also very good. You can visit the fortress from 8.30 am to a noon and from 14.30 to 18.00. The cost of the entrance is 10 Moroccan Dirham.

District Marina Agadir

Marina Agadir is the most luxurious place in the city. The magnificent embankment framed by snow-white yachts, dear shops, original handicraft shops, cafes and restaurants - all this makes Marina one of the most pleasant places in Agadir. Like most of these places, most effectively and beautiful in the afternoon, when the sun is already beginning to tear up to the horizon.

Agadirsky SUK

Suk is a typical Moroccan market, flavor and exotic in all its glory. There are several thousand shopping lavs, the local bitch is the third largest market in all over North Africa. What is not here: and luxurious carpets, and traditional furniture, and unique handmade products, and what products from the skin! Prices are not the lowest, many Chinese fakes, but if you wish, you can always find a standing thing. And you can not search, just stroll through the market and admire it with the unusual and brightness of the paints.

Medina Agadir

Medina Agadir is about 4 kilometers from the city. Once it was part of the city, but in the middle of the twentieth century was destroyed as a result of the earthquake. Now here is the open-air museum. Instead of the destroyed old medina, 20 years ago, a new medina of the city was built here. Despite the fact that the architect was Italian, he tried a new medina to build in a typical Berber style. There are narrow streets, arches, many cafes with national food and drinks, again craft shops and shops for the sale of spices. In general, a pleasant place with its atmosphere, which is added by local artists, but nothing special. Medina is open from 9 am to 6 pm (however, if you want to walk along shopping bedrooms, remember that shops do not work from noon to two o'clock in the afternoon).
