Port El Cantausi is a luxurious tourist complex built at the end of the twentieth century, which is a resort area with expensive hotels, an embankment with a parking lot for yachts, restaurants, clubs and thalassotherapy centers. The resort is very festive, with plenty of entertainment, with an elegant public, beautiful views of the sea and swaying snow-white yachts. Here, unlike other resorts, purely, garbage is not visible anywhere.
The sea in Port El Cantaui, however, it seemed not very clean to me. But I compare with Majdia and the outskirts of the Sousse - in the center of the Sousse Sea approximately in the same condition. I also didn't like the beaches, I really liked - a beach holiday lovers should go to other resorts, which in Tunisia a large number. Well, naturally, prices. They are much higher here than in other resorts of the country: more hotels, food in restaurants, thalassotherapy, other services, cost of souvenirs.
I want to say separately about hotels. Hotels here are all very good, clean, with polite staff, good food and good furniture. Here are hotels of famous chains, such as Al Muradi and Iberostar.
Families with children in the resort, in principle, not bad: There are excellent places for walking, sea excursions, a mini-zoo with a children's fleet, a water park, ice cream house, the hotels are also done to the children to be comfortable. A minus for families with children is the same - the sea and beaches. And, probably, still noisy - Port El Cantausi resort is more youth.
But who will like it here, these are young people, more adult tourists and couples without children. Infrastructure at the resort is developed excellent. Here are excellent thalassotherapy centers, one of the best golf courses in Tunisia, excellent restaurants, merry night facilities, good shopping centers. In Port El Cantaui there are very beautiful fountains, there is a light show with musical accompaniment. The choice of excursions here is also not bad, moreover, thanks to the location, it is convenient to get both to the sights in the north of the country and in the south. And, undoubtedly plus, this is the proximity of the Sousse - the most famous resort of the country. Before it can be reached by both an ordinary bus and taxi.
