Slovakia in the sense of recreation - the country is very diverse. Here you can inspect the castles, and enjoy unhurried eco-tourism, and skiing, and attending small cozy towns. Therefore, you can go here at any time of the year, it all depends only on the resort and the selected view of the rest.
Winter
Winter in Slovakia is cloudy, windy, often with the positive temperature in the west of the country and a small minus in the middle and east. In winter, it is worth going for two reasons: skiing and Christmas fairs. It is worth noting the rise in prices, both at housing and on ski passes on holidays at the very end of December and early January. And an increase in the number of riding on the slopes of the most popular resorts - Poprad, clear, Strelbskogo Ploves and Tatrans Lomnice. In the small resorts, less popular and developed infrastructure, for example, in the northeast of the country in the region of the Polish border, such a significant increase in skiers and snowboarders does not occur. It is not necessary to worry about the absence of snow during this period: on most of the tracks there are snow guns, helping during hindrance. By the way, and the children in the ski resorts of Slovakia in the winter will like: children's ski schools are open here, as well as many other fun riding type and skating. In the largest cities of the type of Bratislava or Banskaya Bustrians at this time it is worth riding in the sake of Christmas bazaars. Stunning local flavor, music, dancing, skating on an artificial rink, elegantly decorated buildings, a noisy cheerful crowd. And most importantly, this is the fair themselves, where you can try national food, drink Mulled wine, Punch or Slovak wine, to acquire a funny New Year's gift or buy local masters.
Spring
The ski season continues in March, however, the snow already subsided, the tracks are already not the quality that in winter. In general, March, in my opinion, not the most successful month for trips to Slovakia. Not only in ski resorts, but in the rest of the country there is nothing special: many castles and caves are still closed for the winter season, the trees have not yet been covered with the first greens and everything looks sufficiently gray and gloomy. But April and May are the perfect time to travel to Bratislava, Burnice, Banskaya Bustritz, a rival sweating and other Slovak cities. At this time it is already warm, but not yet hot, the possibility of the precipitate is minimal, all trees are covered with white, yellow and lilac flowers. In short, Slovakia will seem most beautiful at this time of year.
In summer
Summer in Slovakia is warm, sometimes with rains and thunderstorms. In the summer, a large number of musical, folk festivals and other events are held in the country. In major cities, various entertainment is almost every weekend. Although there are no seas here, in Slovaks there are a lot of lakes, and the water filled from thermal sources is clean, useful. I would like to note the resorts of Sein, Podgaisk and Piestany - here you can buy and get to Bratislava and the main Slovak sites nearby. In Slovakia, domestic tourism is very developed, so during holidays - in July and August, there may be a slightly higher prices and a little more people at the main resorts of the country. But in the summer here in any case, it's good: there are no such heat, and there are a lot of options: it's and walking along the Danube, and hiking or cycling, familiarity with the Slovak depth, visiting the caves, waterfalls and castles.
In autumn
In the fall, unfortunately, rains are possible. But, if you are lucky, it will be possible to admire the tightening golden autumn, which is here until November. And the autumn is good for its harvest fairs, which are held both in the capital and in the whole country. As on the Christmas bazaars, it is very fun, noisy, festively and elegant. It is also sold in tents national food, you can try the wine of fresh crop and a local brand called Burchak, there are many attractions, music sounds, entertainment activities. November, in my opinion, the most neurubesty month of the year: everything is gray and sad, there are still no snow in ski resorts, the attractions are also not very interesting under a gray low sky. However, at this time it makes sense to go to the medical resorts of the country or the thermal sources: the people at this time are a bit, and the quality of the services does not become below.
