Rest in Goa: Prices

Anonim

The popular Indian resort has long been considered paradist for freelancers and downshifters. In addition to the year-round sun and ocean near, one of his advantages is called low cost. However, is it really a life on Goa so cheaper? I will give an example of the price that I discovered during your trip to the northern part of the state, and you can already solve it or not.

Accommodation

The house was almost on the shore from 30 thousand rupees per month. Hotel room - from 800-1000 rupees. Funny straw bungalows - from 600-700 rupees. For example, we, while traveling to Arabol, took off the Gestaus, how high in the mountains, but with a luxurious ocean view, quite without interior doors, but with a hammock stretched between palm trees - it was worth 600 Indian rupees with three people. Our friends are also on three, slightly closer to the beach, removed for 800. But we went literally for a few days. In general, the price from the beach, the season, the state of housing, the period for which you stop, and from a heap of different factors (for example, the price for the new year is jumped several times).

Taxi and rental transport

Taxi was the most expensive. We rarely managed to pay cheaper than 500-700 rupees per day, but we traveled a lot and long distances. They traded like this: the specified amount was divided into two and stood on it. As a result, let them be paid not twice as cheaper from the specified price, but one and a half exactly. I will not say prices exactly because we went a lot, somewhere let the taxi driver, I was waiting for us, and then drove us back, somewhere drove on a normal taxi, and somewhere on a funny Tuk Tuka. Rates for everything, of course, are different.

Gasoline cost about 60 rupees, rent a scooter for a day - in the area of 250 rupees, for a month about 3,500-4,000, it may be more expensive, it may be cheaper depending on the season and state of technology. Bikes, respectively, more expensive than almost twice. Our acquaintances rented scooters, they cost 350 rupees on the day, but they took a short time, and scooters were almost very new.

Food costs

We ourselves did not prepare, so the food prices are not known to me. Bought only fruits. Pineapples were approximately 40 rupees, mangoes - the same, coconuts are slightly cheaper - about 30 rupees. Bananas are not expensive at all, but they sold them with bundles, a small bunch is also 30-35 rupees. The famous Indian rum costs 140 rupees for a bottle of 0.75 liters. Juices 60-70 rupees, fresh and very tasty. Water for a five-liter bottle - 60 rupees. From the food very much liked the dish of huge shrimp with unreal sauce - it was worth it 130-140 rupees depending on the cafe. Local pellets cost 30-50 rupees, rice with vegetables - 100-110 rupees. Tried sweets - my opinion, not very tasty. The cost started from 40 rupees for a piece of chocolate biscuit, but this is if you buy with you. In the cafe, desserts cost from 100 rupees. The tea was worth about 40 rupees for a large mug, a kettle - just a half times more expensive.

Cost of excursions and entertainment

We bought excursions on the beach with a Russian-speaking guide. Excursion to Panaji and old Goa cost 55 dollars. You could go to the paradise beaches for 15 dollars per person. They offered to go to the markets for $ 25, but we went to a taxi on their own. The clubs went very little, preferred a calm beach vacation. However, they chose several times. The entrance was free everywhere. Alcoholic cocktails cost from 120 to 200 rupees, beer - in the 80-100 rupees area. Once it was going to the massage cost 800 rupees, compared to Thai did not like it at all. Photo shoots on the beach were offered for 1000-1200 rupees.

Purchases

Natural coconut oil bought for 80 rupees per bottle. About souvenirs did not bother at all, so I do not remember the prices. But we paid the time to buy clothes. Spaning prices on clothes is very large. So, I bought a sundress for 100 rupees and a hat for 80, and at the same time I bought two dresses, one worth 1500 rupees, the second 2000. The pants of Ali-Baba cost from 250 rupees, we bought excellent quality for 400. T-shirts, skirts, Shorts, slates can also be bought for 200, and for 600.

Of course, it is worth remembering that prices never stand still. There are a lot of reasons for this: it is inflation, and seasonality (for example, the price of fruit and juices falls in the season, and the cost of services grows with the influx of tourists), and the ability to bargain, and much more.
