Nitra is a city that spread on the banks of the river with the same name. Nitra, is one of the largest cities of Slovakia, and this is the cradle of Christianity of this country, since it was in this city the first church was built. The city itself is very interesting and see here there is something, but certainly prevails in Nitra church subject. I liked the city, but the spouse was clearly boring, as the sun bed on the beach is much more interesting than the temple of the medieval building. I will not write our family disputes for a long time, it's better to go right away to the story about local attractions, which by the way you can watch yourself without resorting to the guide services. I also advise you to visit the town of Komarno, which, as in my opinion, is much more interesting than Nitra and much more comfortable. In Nytra, we spent five days, but the inspection comewined only one day and I strongly regret it.
Street of St. Michael . This street is located in the very center of Nitra. Right from the city center, it leads to the walls of the Levice fortress. As this street is pedestrian, it is quite natural that it is very good and I would even say, richly landscaped. Its name, the street received due to the fact that there is the Cathedral of St. Michael Archangel. Passing down the street a little further, you can see a grand construction - the old castle of Charles Robert King Hungary. The walls of this fortress, more than a hundred years, successfully reflected the attacks of the Turks, and one thousand six hundred sixty-fourth year, the Turkish army managed to completely break. All this gives good foundations for this street, to be considered the most famous and popular in the whole city. It is from this street that all city excursions begin for tourists and it is from here that gets acquaintance with the city of Nitra and its surroundings. Such popularity is quite understandable, since this street has the most spectacular of all the most spectacular, attractions of the city.
Building of the hotel "hell" . There is this beauty in the town of Komarno, which is located a little south of the nitra. Looking at this construction and imagine you can not, that the building is a relatively young construction, which is twenty from the power of the feet. It is built in the style of the German classicism of the eighteenth century. The name of the hotel has nothing to do with poor service or dirty numbers, it's just such a kind of trick to attract tourists. This is a four-star hotel with a magnificent combination of price and quality. The hotel's service personnel, freely talks in four languages - Hungarian, Slovak, English and German. The hotel has all the amenities in the form of air conditioners, wireless Internet, satellite television and other things. I hope that when we will colide next time in Slovakia, we will definitely stop at this hotel, as I liked it very much both outside and from the inside.
Lutheran church . This temple is located in the historic part of the town of Komarno. The church was built at the end of the eighteenth century on voluntary donations of parishioners in the period from one thousand seven hundred ninety-sixth one thousand seven hundred and ninety eighth year. Initially, the church had a very modest look, since she did not have almost no elements of the decor. After a hundred years since the construction times during the reconstruction, the church acquired the type in which it can be seen today, and it happened in one thousand eight hundred and ninety-ninth year. Not even a professional, it can easily understand that the tower that is now decorating the church, it was built much later than the building itself because it is straightened by style. Inside the church, there is an altar, and any parishioner can see the picture of Joseph Kupis, which is a copy of the famous Goliath of Rubens. It is noteworthy that during the construction of the church, they were laid stones that remained from the time of the Roman Empire. One thousand nine hundred and the first year, the community of the Lutheran Church, was acquired by a body that was made in Hungary with the famous Master Joseph Angrystrian in Hungary. The authorities of the city are rather preferred to all historical attractions, and that is why the two-year anniversary of the Church was held a fullest restoration and presented a new life.
Cathedral of St. Michael . This cathedral is the classical parish church the first mention of which, dated one thousand two hundred third year. For all the time of its existence, the cathedral suffered twice due to fires, which happened in his walls in one thousand eight hundred and eight and one thousand nine hundred and second year. In the period from one thousand seven hundred seventy-thirds one thousand seven hundred and eighties, a new church of Esterhazi family was built here. In the central part of the temple there are superstructures in the form of two towers, between which the statue of the Holy Ladislas is installed. Inside the cathedral, there is an altar, which was built in one thousand seven hundred and ninety-year-old in the style of classicism. The altar looks like a column on both sides of which, there are sculptures, and in the center it is decorated with a photo of St. Michael Archangel. Benches for the fequils of the cathedral, made of wood in the style of late Baroque. There is a tombstone in the cathedral, which is dated one thousand seven hundred and eighty-sixth, and under which the Esterhazi family is resting. One thousand nine hundred and ninety-year-old in the cathedral made overhaul, which largely affected both the external and in the inner form of the cathedral, for example, an altar from natural marble appeared in the cathedral.
River Nitra . This is the left influx, the river VAG. This river is considered the most contaminated by the river in Slovakia, since it completely lacks sewage treatment plants and it is contaminated due to household wastewater.
Why there are no treatment facilities on it, it is very surprising for me, since it is impossible to call the river a little, because it is washes such cities like Prievidz, Nitra and Topol. The total area of the river is five thousand two hundred square kilometers, and its length is equal to two hundred forty two kilometers.
