In my opinion, going to one of the most popular resorts of Western Slovakia is required. Pieceans are reminded by Czech Charles Vary: There is also thermal springs, the resort area, the popularity of the Russian language, bathing, river in the middle of the city, framing from the mountains.
Otherwise, if you compare Piestany and Karlovy Vary, at the Slovak Resort compared with Czech mass of advantages. First, one of the important aspects of rest is prices. In Piestany prices are very adequate: both for accommodation, and for treatment, and on excursions, and for food. Secondly, the attitude of local residents to the rest: in blood slovaks courtesy without helpfulness, desire to help, very good attitude towards Russian-language, unlike the same Czech Republic, where we are already with difficulty tolerated, rejoicing only money. Thirdly, there is a very large selection of entertainment events (though, mainly for age-related holidaymakers, but given the direction of the resort, there are such majority here, every evening there are musical concerts, festivals and various pop speeches, exhibitions, a very interesting choice of excursions in Tatras and Slovak castles - to bother here is very difficult.
But still the main thing about how to go here is for treating. After all, it is not for nothing that a symbol of this popular resort is a man breaking his crutches, and the motto of the words "stand up and go". Piestany are not a gift called the most healing resort: there are ten sources with mineral healing sulphate hypotonic, carbonate sulfate, calcium-sodium water, hydrogen sulfide, free gas, therapeutic sulfur dirt produced in the Wag River, as well as an artificial iodine-salt cave from natural Sea salt of four seas with a unique microclimate.
First of all, it is rummed here with rheumatism, diseases of the spine, Ishiasis, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, with paralysis and obesity.
Piestany also has a specialized sanatorium for children from 3 to 15 years. Here they treat children with children's cerebral paralysis, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, with the deviation of motor functions, after operations to remove the tumors of the head and spinal cord.
But also to tourists who do not suffer from chronic diseases, Piestany will like: It's nice to come here to walk along the cobbled streets, admire the local architecture, breathe with clean air, visit the local bathing. One of the advantages of this resort is the proximity to the two European capitals - Bratislava and Vienna, from where you can go to get acquainted with Piestany for one day.
