But this is what a man touched, and in this case I mean infrastructure, the picture is very sad. If, for most Soviet people, rest in Gagra was manna heaven, now either due to the dilapidation of the once beautiful resort, or from the overall poverty of Abkhazia, but should be closed with a trip here. Although one of my friend, coming to Abkhazia every year with the persistence of a donkey, says the situation from year to year only worsens.
Housing I shot at a private owner. The apartment cost me one and a half thousand for two days, but I was not traded, I took the first most liked. The average snack in a cafe or dining room will cost rubles in seven hundred for two. But here the entourage of these cafes kills pushed: plastic cups, sticky tower. You can cook yourself, but the choice of products is quite meager. Do not forget that a lot of things are brought from Russia and, accordingly, prices often will be higher than here.
The streets of the resort are dirty, it makes a feeling that the garbage is not exported at all. For those two days that I was in Gagra, the neighboring garbage did not exported never, but the local residents were cheerfully continued to drag and pour rubbish on top of the packed tanks.
In general, in Gagra, you can go only because of the nature, but the attitude of people living on this land and the fantastic it, just kills. Of course, among tourists, they also come across pigs, which leave behind the mountain of garbage. It's a shame for this beautiful republic, but I really hope that the resort of Gagra will recover and again will be if not first-class, then the good-quality resort is accurate. In the meantime, Gagra looks as if people had long left this land and the main mistress was nature.
