On the Greek Island Rhodes Russian tourists travel over batch tours, with transfers and guides. We decided to visit this island yourself. They took less unnecessary clothing with them so that the suitcase is easier, and went on the road. For the completeness of sensations from the whole island, 4 days have booked in the city of Yalissos and 6 days in Faliraki. Yalissos is on the western side of the island, so the refreshing winds constantly blow, and the heat is not completely felt. But the big minus is pebble beaches and strong waves on the Aegean Sea. They took the car for 5 days. There is nothing to ride and watch, especially if you were already in Greece, all similar, ruins, ancient excavations. It will be interesting to be mostly lovers of mythology. We were more interesting to ride on the beaches, with a visit to Orthodox monasteries.
One day dedicated to the capital. Personally, I didn't like the capital of Rhodes, the beggars of different nationalities that can grab the hands, and too intrusive service. I did not regret none for a second that they did not stop for a long time in this city. Also noticed the strong influence of Turkey, possibly due to a similar location. Carpets, hookahs and other Turkish attributes are abundant in each shop. If you go away from the places of tourists' accumulation is already more pleasant. Little cafes for local, stone cute houses and streets.
The city of Lindos is promoted by guidebooks and guides. On 35 degree heat rise to the very top fortress, this is hell, but from the height the beautiful view of the coast opens, and again, for lovers of history, it will be curious there.
